If you like Mastadon you should like this. This Is a great cd from an up and coming band.

Gojira are not your average death metal band nor are they your average progressive metal band, I think this album shows that. Seems that not being progressive enough is one of the prevailing complaints here. If that's what your looking for, look somewhere else. I like this band, but I'm not a huge fan. Now that that's out of the way, I really dig the album. It's different and totally unexpected, and I think anyone into heavy music should check it out at least.

It's been a long time since the last Gojira album! After many setbacks for the band they delivered a new album and it did not disappoint. Musically this is closest to From Mars To Sirius which is my favorite album by them. The production is crisp, textured, and heavy! Where this album falls short of being my favorite is due to the lacking amount of content. 2 of the tracks aren't real songs but instrumental interludes. One of them is okay but the last one is a complete waste. Instrumental interludes in my opinion really should be avoided when the total playing time is already less than desired especially on such a long delayed release. 2 more full songs would've been great! All in all still some great music even with those blemishes!

Took a few spins, but this may be my favorite Magma album at this point. Much more along the lines of Voivod than Morbid Angel. They took their core sound and peeled it back to the essentials (huge RIFFS), and it works great here. Vocals (clean) are rad, too.

Gojira has returned with a vengeance. Magma rocks in every way imaginable. Reading interviews with the band, they went through a very dark time in their lives during the recording process and that really shows in the new music they have given us. Highly recommended!

I read about this album quite a bit as one of 2016's best and decided to check it out. Wasn't disappointed at all and I can say this is one my fav bands now. There is a couple of throwaway tracks here but what's there is really awesome. Heavy stuff here!

This CD is one of the best I have listened to this year. Not for your easy listening type of person. Gojira will pound your skull into a pulp with crushing riffs. There is also a lighter side to this band that is very eclectic.

If your a fan of Gojira then you will be an even bigger fan of this album...concept style with a continuous flow beginning to end...superb recording and musicianship...these guys only get better!

I'm not blown away by this album, but after a few listens it's starting to grow on me. I really do like the stranded song, which is the best on the CD. If you don't like it on the first listen give it a couple more tries and it might just grow on you, so you see it as the very good CD that it is.

This album starts off slow with the first song, but kicks into high gear by the second song. Has 2 instrumental tracks to help set the mood. 45 minutes of really good music. I recommend it.

Their most eclectic offering to date by the French metal Titans. A little more clean singing then I would like but it's still really good. Possibly my album of the year

Not as heavy as some of Gojira's other work, but a solid cd none the less!!! Stranded and silvera are stand out tracks and the rest fill in quite nicely! A must have!

I used to be a casual Gojira fan, but after listening to this album, they are now one of my favorite bands. This is their best album and i highly recommend it.

Gojira has always put out some great music, this album is just another example of that. Though it does seem very short, it is definitely a good one!

Gojira's Magma is an awesome full length album. This is an experience and no tracks seem to "go stale". Worth picking up for any metal head.

This album has some of the best metal rhythms I've heard. It also brings some atmosphere along with it. Love the vocal approach to the music.

Heard some of these tunes on Octane. Gave the album a try! Heavy and melodic also! Got it at a great deal and am enjoying it still!

Picking up where they left off, Gojira prove to world why they are still the premier heavy metal act from France. Viva la Gorjira!!!

Love this album! Amazingly underrated band! If you are a fan of Mastodon, Red Fang, or Baroness you have to listen to these guys!

Great from start to finish! My friend turned me on to this band and they did not disappoint one bit. Heavy but very well composed.
