Well produced and at a reasonable price, would recommend video

I am not a big fan of special effects movies but this story was good. It was my first Ultra HD and it showed well on my new Ultra HD TV.

Maleficent is supposed to be one of the greatest evil characters in all of the Disney world and they completely ruined it. It made no sense at all and it was horribly written.

It SUCKED! My kids didn't even like it. Was one of the most boring flicks that I have seen in a long time. Gonna land up in my GOODWILL pile of stuff.

This movie gives you a whole different view of this famous fairytale. It proves that no one is all evil, or at least I want to believe this.

The product is fine, packaging, discs, picture quality, but this movie is complete garbage. Stick to the REAL Sleeping Beauty story.

My daughter collects music and thought she might like to add this to her collection. I saw it on a plane to London and enjoyed it.

Purchased this on thanksgiving for a Christmas gift and movie will not play. Need to return for replacement

Angelina Jolie has made a very good movie.I recommend it to all young and old alike.

When the people spoke /moved their lips it did not match up with the voice...

Loosely follows the original story, cartoon way better

This is a great movie and a great package with the digital copy that I was able to put on vudu and the blu ray as well as dvd! Highly recommended!!!

I loved "Maleficent." Angelina Jolie is absolutely riveting throughout, in scenes that range from deep poignancy to high camp. I loved the unexpected touches of humor, like baby Aurora's reaction to the fierce Maleficent, and Maleficent's cavalier zapping of Diaval, her right-hand man/raven/dog/spy who serves her reluctantly but well. The strong narration, delivered with warmth and clarity by Janet McTeer, provides a wonderful intro and closing to this new feminist fairy tale. The Oscar-worthy musical score by James Newton Howard enhances every scene. The maestro made great use of every section and instrument of a 130-piece orchestra. The beautiful lilting voices of the Trinity Boys and London Voices Choirs add an ethereal air to the fantasy. "Maleficent" is a powerful moral tale with a wronged, vengeful but ultimately noble heroine who heals herself in the process of bringing two warring kingdoms together. Hats off to Jolie, who poured millions of her own into the production, and to Disney for releasing this daring feminist follow-up to the girl-friendly "Frozen." I think it's important for girls and boys, men and women to see active, conflicted and capable female characters in the movies. It breaks long-held stereotypes. It acknowledges women as central characters in the human drama. It underlines our common humanity and enriches our world in the same way that Maleficent liberates hers.

I don't like Angelina Jolie (as an actress). I only liked one of her films and that was Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I never watched the original sleeping Beauty so this was awesome to me because i couldn't do any comparing. This movie had so much story in so little time. I wish it was a series so i can enjoy the story some more. I don't want to give anything away but i did watch the original right after and i thought it was boring, and slow. It didn't feel like a disney princess movie. Maleficent was fun and not too action packed, i wanted more story than action by the end of the movie.

"Maleficent" is a live action remake of Disney's classic animated film, "Sleeping Beauty" - but from the evil Maleficent's point of view. What you might expect is an extremely dark movie that might not be suitable for your traditional animated Disney movie audience - however - "Maleficent" is a much livelier movie that intends to inform the audience of how Maleficent was misjudged. The special effects and acting by Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) are excellent and this movie was a very pleasant surprise. Definitely enjoyed the plot twist and would definitely recommend it!

Angelina Jolie was the perfect person to play Maleficent. She did a terrific job in the title role. Some people are saying that they didn't like the new twists to the classic tale, but I rather enjoyed it. In the original movie, Aurora had no personality whatsoever, but in this movie, we all got to know her a little better. There was really no need for the prince, but what's done is done. The CGI effects were beautiful and the moment with Angelina and her real life daughter Vivienne was just so adorable, I recommend seeing this movie, you will enjoy it.
