I saw this movie over the summer when it was in the theatres. I could not wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray DVD! Alas, the release has arrived! I went to Best Buy and got my copy, took it home and settled in to watch it. The movie started playing and I was missing some sound!! I could hear some things, but not others! When I went into the DVD's setup menu, I found the problem! The geniuses who produced this DVD only did English in a 7.1 surround format or a 2.0, NOT the most commonly used 5.1!! I could not believe it!! 5.1 is only offered in French and Spanish! If you have a home theatre system that is set up in 5.1 surround, you can not watch this movie in its full effects! You have to select the 2.0 format and that greatly diminishes the viewing experience. I hope they realize their error and a re-release is sent out soon with a 5.1 format.

I found myself laughing out loud. I loved Angelina Jolie as Maleficent.

I bought this since my nephew and niece likes this movie.:) it's good.

This was an okay movie but for the sale price of less than $10, less than a movie ticket, I figured why not. This is something that you can enjoy every now and then, the tweens might enjoy but not for the younger kids.

Fantastic performance from Angelina Jolie but it is overshadowed a bit by a somewhat weak storyline. Great special effects and excellent audio and video presentation...almost reference quality.

fun new twist on a Disney classic for all ages!!!!

Filled with poor acting, lackluster effects and a plodding pace that put one to sleep. While it's and interesting idea to tell the story from the point of view of the "villainess" it fell flat.
