Given Mali's announcement that his next musical project would not be a "gospel" CD, I was a little hesitant to make the purchase. It is true, Mali does not mention the name of Jesus, something very present in previous offerings, yet, I still hear his Christian foundation shine through. I do hope he realizes that much of his "fame" came because there are Christians who want to hear a "new song" with pure gospel beat, flavor, and message. Along with biblical references, Mali appears to stay true to his Christian roots.

I have waited on this and I was NOT disappointed. I have listened to it every day since I got it and have not stopped talking about it either. By far my favorite CD for this year so far. Been a fan of Mali Music for a while and I am so very happy for him! GO GET IT!!!

This is a very innovative album with a creative twist from Mali having written almost everything himself. It's uplifting and soulful. I'd recommend.

What a wonderful surprise to my ears I listened to the entire album and could not believe that it was over so soon! Love it!

I stumbled across this artist by accident while searching on youtube. This music is so smooth.

Ok, I know that this CD is probably considered 'old' but I just found out about it through a Pandora station I created. This CD is simply awesome! Driving yet smooth beats and the best part is that it has SUBSTANCE and you can hear & UNDERSTAND what he is saying and it is the Gospel Message! I consider myself a pretty 'hap'nin' lady (did I just age myself out because I used the word 'hap'nin'?) and felt that my daughter and teen nieces and nephews would really enjoy the sound because it's not that 'old gospel hymn' sound but is catchy, upbeat and urban. It would even be a good addition to a person who likes R&B like John Legend or Digable Planets (well, that's who it made me think of). There was really only one song I couldn't get into; the rest are all head-bobbers for me. This is my first CD of his and I hope it won't be the last. I strongly recommend!

This isn't just a great gospel album, no... "Mali is" is a great album, period! I had peered over it a few times, then (prompted by a gift card and certificates) decided to give it a serious listen on iTunes. After hearing samples, I knew this was an album that I wanted. I'm glad I purchased it! Noticed it was on a few front pages of Apples service (it currently still is on the intro to iTunes 12, I believe), so that is a testament, especially being a gospel album. With that said- as stated at the beginning- this shouldn't be looked over for a possible second look because of that categorization.... This album is sure to appease the christian crowd and music lover alike. Dare I say, a classic? Possibly, at least for christian music. Definitely a great album, which I feel may influence my taste in music! Give it a listen!

Awesome music! Breath of fresh air from conscious artist!

I've followed Mali Music from the beginning of his career. As an artist, he's entitled to try all sorts of styles. But I was surprised he decided to do a "secular" album. This album should reaffirm for anyone that an album's classification by outside sources can't steal your love for God or blur what you believe in. It's not a Gospel album, not a "worldly" album, but a love for God, His people, and concern for their experiences album....rock on sir Mali...

I love this CD! Mali is so talented.This Album truly shows off his versatility and ability to put out music that is positive, encouraging and addresses relevant and timeless subjects. Heavy Love is my favorite! LOVE, LOVE the track and it always gets me dancing. Definitely recommending this Soulful Treat. He covers every genre with ease.

Mali music is an artist i adapted to when i heard him sing with Kirk Franklin. I loved his style & how different it was from all other gospel artist. This one to me is more layed back than his last but still awesome. I can't wait until the next.

Had never heard of this artist, until I heard his music on Love and Hip Hop Show...Single was so good, I decided to take a chance and purchase this cd. The cd is a great surprise and refreshing to hear!

This is the guy that most like me first heard on Kirk Franklin's album singing "Give Me That". This CD introduces you to who Mali is in relation to rocking the gospel beats. This is a good jam CD, especially when your riding in the car! Not traditional gospel but it is good, so be prepared.

I had been looking for the physical cd and was so happy to find it at Best Buy. This cd was just what I needed to lift my spirits and encourage myself to be better than I am right now!

This is refreshing from what's considered "mainstream" music. I truly appreciate the simplicity of this album. Looking forward to more from Mali Music.

I like the CD AND DVD especially because it's two important things that I love and that is JESUS and CHRISTMAS.....

The CD is refreshing & thought-provoking... something for everyone especially young people who may be lost.
