Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the fun and engaging gameplay, with many praising the open world and ease of use. The story is also frequently cited as a positive aspect, though some find the controls challenging and the game repetitive after a while. A few players mentioned encountering glitches, and the camera controls were also a source of some frustration. Despite these drawbacks, the game's generally positive reception is bolstered by its price point and the availability of a free PS5 upgrade.

Surprisingly good game. Has a good story. Graphics are surprisingly better than average. Somewhat short but fulfilling in the end. Would recommend this game. A good addition to the collection.

Surprisingly fun game. Bought it on a sale for a good price and I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I do. There's a story and lots to do!

Fun, simple, eat everything type of game. It was creative and I truly enjoyed it. A few bugs here and there but well worth what I paid for!

Maneater is just plain fun. The open world allows you to move at your own pace: you can either progress the story going from quest to quest, or swim around and collect all the little side items/explore hidden locations for more loot and EXP before continuing the story. I enjoyed it so much I actually spent TOO much time just coasting around eating all the local wildlife and exploring, to the point where I was 10 levels higher than the story-driven “bosses”. I was concerned about swearing with my kid around and there’s a bit of mature language, but the F-bombs and “serious” words seem to be bleeped out. My only complaint is it’s a fairly short game with only a few sets of shark “gear” - fingers crossed for some DLC.

You actually get to snack on unsuspecting beach goers in this game. It is open world with plenty of freedom to roam around. There is never a dull moment when playing as a bull shark.

Really fun game but short. Liked that you play as the shark. Also, couldn't pass on it cuz of the price ($13).

It's a fun game. The shark is a little difficult to navigate at first. But once you get the hang of it, it's really fun.

It’s a very fun game with a lot of mindless fun but I do not mean that in any bad way. The story is actually entertaining and so is the gameplay and the fact that it lets you customize shark that’s fairly unique In the sense of how many games let you do that? I recommended it’s fun it’s not a game of the year but it’s definitely a game that will be enjoyable.

A fun game even though it is repetitive. The shark has lots of options to upgrade too. It also has a free ps5 upgrade that runs well.

For the price it is a decent game, but the combat is a little hard to get your finger on. It never really clicked for me. I think the story has a fair bit of comedy and satire and the look of the game is passable, but the gameplay is a little lacking. I do like the progression and you evolve and grow. An interesting title that will probably have a great sequel.

I admit I haven't finished this game yet, I've only played for an hour or two so far but I'm enjoying it. It's described as a "ShaRkPG". I've kind of been obsessed with sharks since I was a child and I've waited a long time for a good shark video game to release and we finally got one. As a bonus the game will let you upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free.

This is a really fun game. Good graphics, the controls are nice and responsive and the gameplay is really fun. The game is similar to Hungry Shark, but at the same time has it’s own identity. For instance, you only have one shark, but as you upgrade him, his appearance changes which makes it look like a new shark. The objective, are simple and fun and range from a different variety. Overall, if you like sharks, or even arcade style games, then this is for you.

A dumb open world game where you play as the shark and can swim anywhere and eat anything. It's dumb for sure, but extremely fun and satisfying. Was surprised how much customization there is with the shark's appearance. And the story isn't half bad.

Have I been stressed out lately? Yes, has this game allowed me to imagine myself as a shark whose sole purpose is to chomp any living thing in sight yes, oh what? I mutate aling the way? YES! Fun little inexpensive game, frane rate drops during maximum chaos, no matter what platform you get it on, but less so on Playstation
