The trimmer is of low quality, resulting in substantial hair pullout. While it may be marketed as a product, it should not be compared to established brands such as Phillips or Braun, which offer superior performance.

Not a good product it doesn't cut very well and my Fiance tried everything. You cannot use it in the shower either

After using this trimmer twice for its intended use, I can share some of the pros and cons. First, there are lots of lots of nice things about this trimmer. It is small, lightweight and yet sturdy. It is also waterproof and easy to charge. And it has a flashlight that you can turn on and off and also a locking mechanism so when you put it in your suitcase it doesn't turn itself on (it does not come with a case). It's nice that it can also be used for other trimming and has a few adjustable guards to trim other hair, but I already have a specific body trimmer and the manscaped beard trimmer so I am only using it for its intended purpose. The only negative I have would be that in order to get a clean shave (i.e. remove all the hair), you need to operate the trimmer without a guard. With the lowest guard in place, it feels safe to use and I didn't need to worry about getting any nicks. It got rid of all the longer hair but there was still a decent amount of stubble. The second time I used it I removed the guard. Note that doing so can result in some cuts and discomfort if you're not careful, but will get you a smooth skin trim. It takes longer and without going into too much detail you just need to push down or stretch your skin so that the blades do not catch on your skin. It takes a while to shave like this but this trimmer is very capable and does feel safer and easier to use than other trimmers for this purpose. Overall, I like this trimmer and will continue to use it for my special needs.

Terrible creation. I like the way it's look, but It pulls very badly. OUCH!

I am unfortunately not happy with this product. I have been using Manscaped products for a long time but this is by far the worst lawnmower they have released. It does not cut close or smooth. It is absolutely awful. Please just spend the same about or less on something else.

This product is ok. The blades has a hard time cutting your hair. The original blades are better at trimming your hair.

Mine keeps cutting my privates I've called customer service to ask for a replacement porcelain blades no reply

I’ve had the 4.0 and absolutely loved it! So when this came out, I was excited to give this one a try but it kept catching onto my hair and pulling my skin. Had to return and decided to stick with what I have.

My Lawn Mower 4.0 crapped out after just a few years. Upgraded to this one and I can honestly say that it does not cut very well at all. Very disappointed.

I had the first hair trimmer these guys ever made and that was really high quality. This one was awful from day one and after 9 months it has just stopped working. It’ll only turn for two seconds at a time even though it’s fully charged. When it was working it wasn’t good at all so just avoid it.

Do not buy this thing. It stopped working after a couple of months. It would go off in the middle of the night for no reason, then it wouldn't shut off, and now it won't turn on. Tried everything support recommended, no luck.

The design of the Lawn Mower 5.0 is nice. I would describe it as very sleek. the shell appears to be a plastic material. It seems to be durable though I did not perform a drop or durability test. The manscaped trimmer comes with a number of accessories— a skin safe foil blade, a skin safe trimmer blade, 3 combs that attach to the trimmer blade, a usb-c cable, and a power supply. I am thankful it charges via usb-c as that is one less cable I will need to carry if I bring this with me while traveling. The design is waterproof, which is super nice if you like to trim body hair in the shower. It also includes an LED spotlight which I found to be effective at identifying smaller hairs I may have missed. The LED spotlight includes two different LED tones which allows the user to dial in the best view of their skin. Another nice feature is that it includes a travel lock so it doesn’t turn on if it’s loose in your bag. The skin safe trimmer works great. I didn’t notice any skin irritation while using it. I have curly hair so I did have some issues getting hairs cut, but the instructions say that it’s best to start with the trimmer and switch to the foil blade to get the residual hairs. I don’t see myself using this to cut my hair to skin so I appreciated that three combs are included if you are looking to just keep your body hair trimmed and tidy. For the purposes of testing, I also tried using the foil shaver. It was effective at getting a close shave and catching stray hairs. Unfortunately, using this attachment made me bleed. I have psoriasis which makes my skin extremely sensitive and prone to bleeding, so I don’t blame the shaver necessarily. Though it does state in the marketing materials its skin safe so I felt like it was worth mentioning. In terms of battery life, it’s claimed to be 60 minutes. I used this product multiple times and didn’t need to charge it at all. It also claims to have a constant RPM motor, i.e. as the battery dies the motor does not weaken but stays at a constant cutting speed. I found in my testing for this to be accurate. The kit included an aftershave lotion that claims to soothe sensitive skin after a close shave. I found this to be the case. I found that to be the case; to me it felt icy and hot at the same time. Overall this is a great trimmer I think for most; but with my skin condition it is not solver of all of my problems.

This trimmer struggles to work effectively and is very frustrating to use. Mine wouldn’t charge after the first use and it’s past the warranty period so I wasted over $100 on a trimmer that I now have to throw away.

The Manscaped Lawnmower 5.0 performs well. I’ve had a different trimmer for a long time. It works, but I have to be fairly carful with it if I don’t want to get nicked up. I had read reviews that essentially said, while you can still nick yourself with the Lawnmower, it does a great job of protecting you if you just pay attention. Well, I decided to put it to the test. I went after it like a kindergartener learning how to use scissors. I fully expected to get nicked up, I just wanted to see how careful I really needed to be. To my surprise, not a single nick. It was impressive. On top of being safe, I got a nice even cut thanks to the guards. Swapping guards and blades is simple. You have three lengths to choose from and then a straight up shaver. If you aren’t already trimmed up, it’s going to take a little work to get everything the way you want it, but once you’ve got things in order, maintenance is easy. Being waterproof is very nice. My old trimmer isn’t, and I always had a mess to clean up. It’s much easier to just clean out the hair catcher in the shower drain. I’ve never used after shave lotion down there before, but that was a nice touch. Got a warming sensation when I put it on, but it dissipated quickly and seems to keep everything smooth. You really can get the look and feel you are after with this trimmer. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it doesn’t come with a dock. Just a standard charging cable. I’m a fan of docks so it’s always charged and ready to go. It also doesn’t have a bag to keep everything together and organized. A couple of additional accessories and it’s a 5-star product. Not a deal breaker, just personal preference.

Just upgraded from 3.0 to 5.0. Not sure if I got a defective one or something - but this is pulling on every single hair. To the point it’s unbearable. Only issue with the 3.0 is the battery stopped holding a charge.

Horrible purchase. The battery never held a charge after the first use. And now it doesnt work at all.

I wouldnt buy this. It feels cheap for the price. Theres better and cheaper options that feel higher quality and that perform better. This product is honestly not worth the money.

It stopped working after two months. It didn’t even make it until 90 days. DISAPPOINTING. Checked the return date limit and conveniently my trimmer stopped working TWO DAYS after the latest return date. Funny. I’m so mad.

Absolutely the worst experience I've had with something like this. This thing bogged down and tried to yank every hair I had out. My hair isn't even thick. I tried a second time, nope. Refunded faster than Forrest Gump. No thanks.

This Manscaped product is much harder to use than shown in commercials. Changing blades is very difficult. The instructions that come with it are hard to read because the print is small and the coloring is bad.
