Manscaped has been providing men with grooming tools for several years now and I have personally used the Lawn Mower 4.0 for over a year as well. I was excited to try the newer version, the 5.0 Ultra, to experience what improvements were made over the previous generations. Despite having several improvements over the 4.0, there were a few design aspects that I believe were worse than the previous trimmer lineup. In the Box: - Lawn Mower 5.0 - SkinSafe Foil Blade - SkinSafe Trimmer Blade - 3x Combs Adapters (Different Lengths) - USB-A to USB-C Cable & Charge Block - Crop Soother Features: The Lawn Mower 5.0 adds several new features the previous versions didn’t have. These include: - Qi Wireless Charging Capability (Works with any Qi wireless charger) - USB-C Charging - Dual Temperature LED Lighting - Dual Head Trimmer System Outside of this, the physical size of the trimmer is nearly identical to the 4.0 with just a slight difference in design. This means the back of the trimmer is flat to accommodate the Qi wireless charging. The Front buttons are nearly identical also with the same 3 LED bar battery indictor light. The LED light has one cool white and one warm white to be able to better adjust to different skin tones. The adjustable head design is nice for doing more with one trimmer, but it does have a slightly worse design for changing the blades and installing the different comb lengths on top of the trimmer blade. Battery: Manscaped claims this device works up to 60 minutes of continuous run time. I haven’t had any issue with run time and can typically use this trimmer several times before needing to charge. I do really like the fact you can just use the USB-C cable to charge or throw it in a wireless charger instead of using the old proprietary base. Usage: Because of the updated design, the trimmer blade on the 5.0 does not work with the 4.0 versions. This is a little unfortunate because people trading up may have a few blades available to use for the older trimmer. With that said, the ease of changing the blade and changing heads is the same as before, which is great. The newer design allows for the combs to be installed by sliding them down on top of the blade (very similar to most others out there) but the combs themselves are extremely cheap and honestly feel like they could break at any time. Out of the box, one of my comb’s teeth was bent. When using the trimmer with the shortest comb, 1.4mm, the trimmer was pulling hair and not cutting well at all. I don’t know if this was the blade sharpness or the comb itself catching but it did not work well at all. Moving up to the 2,4,6mm comb, it worked without issues and did the job well. The waterproof design is still fantastic for taking this trimmer in the shower or using it in a wet environment. The dual temperature LED light is nice for different scenarios, but I still wish the light itself was brighter. Pros: - Qi Wireless/USB-C Charging - Travel Lock - Dual Head Design - Waterproof Cons: - Lawn Mower 4.0 blades don’t work - Combs hard to install/feel cheap - LED Light not overly bright Overall, I think the Lawn Mower 5.0 is a slight improvement over the 4.0 due to the new features they have introduced. The performance is very similar to the 4.0 so don’t expect a drastic difference in cut quality or battery run time. Due to the fact the older blades do not fit this new design and how similar the performance is, it would be hard to recommend upgrading until all the blades were used for the older trimmer or unless you really want a few of the newer features. If you are new to the Manscaped lineup and one a solid trimmer for multiples uses, the 5.0 is the way to go.

I had tried many body trimmers and razors for man grooming below the waist and finally I’ve found the best body grooming trimmer, this Lawn Mower Manscaped 5.0 Ultra is a must have, it will groom you just as you want, leaving you smooth and not cuts. This essential kit comes with all you need for grooming your groin area and body; it includes the body and groin hair trimmer, skin foil blade, skin safe body blade, 3 combs, power adapter with USB C cable and crop soother. The trimmer charges in about 90 or less minutes for a 60 minutes run time and it has a quick charge option. It is waterproof so it’s so convenience to use it in the shower, also have an LED dual temp light, a quick press let you choose between two color temperatures to illuminate different skin tones, this is great for hard to see areas for shaving. This trimmer also have a travel lock option that’s perfect when you have it on a suitcase when traveling so it wouldn’t come on accidentally, just press the button for 3 seconds for engage or disengage. I personally like to use the Skin Safe Foil blade attachment, it leave my groin area comfortable smooth and after shaving I use the crop soother aftershave lotion for a perfect grooming. I think this is a great grooming tool that every man should have and you can take it for travel.

Never going back to razors!! This has been the best product that i have bought! Smooth clean shave easy to use and able to use in the shower and has wireless charging!.. its the perfect trimmer!

If you’re looking at this product you already know how important grooming is. Your spouse may not tell you but their reaction to a well groomed man is undeniable or at least it is for me! Carefully query your female or male friends and if they are being honest…no one wants a cave person all unkept and disheveled when it comes time to be free as you were at birth! This is my second Manscape Lawn Mower for me. I got the 4 last Christmas and really liked it a lot. But I have to say I really LOVE the 5! It’s a little bigger which ironically feels some much better in my hand! It’s actually easier to hold onto and navigate all the sensitive curvatures. It is a little bit louder than the 4 but that too is a plus for me…It is much more powerful and stay steady through out it’s “lawn mowing”. I also really love how they changed the light at the top as well. On the 4 it is small and really narrow beam. The 5 light is extended along the sides for a broader field of view and much brighter which again allows for you to see where you are trimming much easier you can also change the color palet of the light! I also love the safe foil head attachment that it comes with. It really allows you to fine tune and polish up the trim to a ultra clean look without the fear of an accidental snip! The last thing that makes this a true winner is that they added a separate travel lock on the 5 so you don’t keep accidentally hitting it like I did on the 4! You hold it down and the light bar counts down the three seconds to engage. I really hated that feature on the 4 It was the same button as the power and I thought I broke it at first but I had just inadvertently put it into travel mode. The only thing I did not love with this package was the “after shave lotion” you put it on … well… you know… down on your nether regions after a shave. It was a warm sensation…that I did not care for! Interesting and worth a look see if your curious but I did not care for it. I also really like their marketing…it’s funny and tongue in cheek on how they reference the parts being shaven, which really make the manscape a status symbol and just fun to be a part of. It’s brought mens grooming onto a level that connects with normal guys that got tired of stealing their spouse’s razor to trim a little hear and there. We men got our own thing and it’s cool and fun and most importantly…WORKS AMAZING!!!! I have the Weed Wacker Nose hair trimmer as well and love that but wish they would put a light on that and increase the power as well! I love the Lawn Mower 5 and highly recommend to anyone who wants to look and feel their best and have fun with the brand doing it the best!

Really great hygiene product! Easy to use and pretty effective. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because I did get a slight cut during a use one time so it’s not like it’s 100% guaranteed to not give a cut but majority of the time it was really great. Battery life is great and it really facilitates and cuts down on the time it takes to keep yourself clean.

The Lawn Mower 5 worked well for me but was not perfect. I’ll highlight the strengths and weaknesses and struggles I had in certain areas. First, there are areas I like to completely shave which are very delicate and sensitive. There is a foil shaver attachment similar to what you see with other products that you attach and this performs well. On both edges of the foil section, there is a fine blade that will create edges and trim longer hairs. I had no issues with this. The other attachment is a blade with guards that allows you to shave to a specific length. I was disappointed with the limited attachments. It came with 3 different guards. The shortest length trimmed shorter than I anticipated. I like to trim the hair down to a very short length on my legs, arms and chest. This did work but it took several passes. In some areas, it took 10+ passes. I had a couple areas where it just wouldn’t trim and am not sure why. This is why I took off a star in my rating. I found it worked better when you used a raking motion verses the pushing motion you may find your hair stylist uses with hair clippers. For some reason, I got better results flipping it and pulling it over the area to trim. When using this the for the first time, I had no knicks. That’s a relief! Changing the blade to the foil attachment was not easy. I had to search the internet to see how to do it. It took me about 15 minutes to figure it out but once I did, it was fine. One other detail to mention, it does not come with a bag to store all the parts. I wish it did but seeing it is not advertised, I did not reflect this in my score. Overall, body trimming is something you want the right equipment for. There are many bad options and this ranks pretty good comparatively. There are limited options that will do sensitive areas and the Lawn Mower 5 performs well.

I'd been looking for a better way to handle body grooming for ages, and the Lawn Mower 5.0 is honestly a revelation. I was a little skeptical at first, but wow – this thing delivers! I can finally get a really smooth shave, down to the skin, which I haven't been able to do before. It's surprisingly gentle too, which is a huge plus. The adjustable comb is handy, and the fact that it’s waterproof makes shower grooming a total breeze. It's definitely not the cheapest option out there, but the results are so good, it’s worth every penny. If you're looking to upgrade your grooming routine, seriously consider this one.

I do trim semi regularly, but I can get pretty lazy about it. I normally use hair clippers or a face razor. Both have advantages and disadvantages. I have seen these advertisements for this razor for a while. Out of the box. It is charged and there is the lowest guard on the razor. There are 3 other options in the box depending on the length you want. For me, I used no guard on the larger and smoother areas like my chest and arms. This worked very well for me. On the more private areas I would definitely suggest using a guard on your first trim. I did notice some pulling on longer hairs. The warning from the company, still watch your skin. So heed that warning. You have several options for guard length so l suggest trying to longest first. For smaller areas you might want to shave it down first then use the clippers are a manintenance. The light was not super bright, but it does not need to be. It was super helpful. Other packages of this product have a drop cloth. That would have been super helpful also.

If you are a man looking for a hair trimmer for those areas where you need to trimm hair. I do recommend this. It is waterproof so you can use it in the shower! 1 full charge will give you multiple days of use before having to recharge it. Best part is that it charges really fast! It comes with a bonus small lotion to soothe the ares where you trimmed your hair and is just fantastic!

The product doesn't cut you in anyway and performs beautifully! This is a must buy! I recommend picking these up. You won't be disappointed.

I like when something works well and doesnt take a lot of fuss. Changing attachments is easy, cleaning is simple, and it does exactly what it says it will: no snag no knicks shaving. I use this as my go to body hair trimmer and I have not had an issue so far. My girlfriend has even asked if they make a feminine version because of how good it is at what it does.

In my first use of the product, the opening of the box looked amazing as did its job! The box was very elegant, The machine itself i can say the same. Very smooth texture with a very helpful light installed in it. The performance is remarkable and every glide was cutting like butter. The price itself explains its worth and quality! 100% satisfied and also is my woman!

I normally use my electric beard trimmer to shave below, but I would have a hard time getting the hair short enough and would often nick myself. I have heard great things about Manscape and was able to get a great deal on The Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra. The trimmer felt light and fit in the hands well. The trimmer was also very quiet. I was amazed on how close the fixed length comb, 1.4mm, trimmed and did not cut any shorter. I noticed the trimmer would pull hairs if I went too fast, but after taking my time, I no longer had this issue. I did experience a single nick, but that was my own fault. I later took the comb off and used The Lawn Mower to trim my hair line on the back of my neck. The trimmer did a barber shop quality job. I would highly recommend this trimmer as it has been the first trimmer which provides a short trim, is quiet, and is difficult to accidently nick yourself.

Works great and safe. Skin feels smooth after use.

Needed an electric razor and was tired of buying cheap ones so I splurged for this deal. Works great in and out of the shower. The close shave head is awesome - any tiny patches left over are easily finished with a disposable blade. Happy with my purchase!
