    After owning an Onkyo for a number of years the sound is better than the Marantz 5014.

    I purchased this high end AVR from Best Buy. This AVR is not working well. The AVR is connected with TV by an ARC high end HDMI cable (Audio Quest Cinnamon, $150). When I turn on the TV, I don't hear any sound through my sound surround. If I disconnect the power cable and connect again, it starts working. It reboots the system. I need to do every time I watch my TV through sound surround. I called the Tech Support, didn't get good support. I will call again. If they can't solve the problem, I will have to return this AVR. Not satisfied at all.

    I had an old outdated receiver that had run its course. The Geek squad came and replaced it with the Marantz SR 7.2 Bluetooth receiver. After rewiring all my home theater components, the theater system works great.

    I'm a big fan of Marantz and love this AVR. It does what I need it to do without a lot of extra bells and whistles I don't need and don't want to pay for.
