Less golf, more running. Not like past Mario Golf

Hitting the ball with the three step shot is gone. Just have to hope the computer times the shot for you. Spinning the ball is different. This is no longer the great golf game it once was. It is all about speed and running through the courses, with less focus on golf. In the XC game mode you can’t even see where your ball lands until you get there. Weird change. I miss the mini games and par three challenges and variety of characters from past versions. Overall very disappointed.
