My Son Wasn't That Interested

He hasn't played it much. He used to enjoy playing the Wii U version, but apparently, he's not into this one for some reason. YMMV

Unable to use

He was heartbroken and I was unable to return it due to him being excited about getting it and opening it before we discovered that it was not compatible with his device.

I own Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U so I waited a long time before picking this up but did so on a whim during the buy one get one half off sale. This is a great version of Mario Kart! While it's not a varied as the Wii U version, this is perfect for the 3DS. Great graphics, the 3D works really well and that classic MK fun is there! Highly recommended, even if you have 8.

Great entry to Mario Kart franchise

The new tracks are very interesting and they really pushed alternate paths in this iteration, which should really up the replay value for single player a decent amount. The 3D isn't overpowering and really adds a positive experience to the gameplay. Can't wait to start playing my friends ONLINE! Early developers have been completely ignoring online multiplayer for the 3DS, but hopefully Mario Kart 7 will really raise the bar. I doubt any Mario Kart fan will be disappointed with this. The gameplay is solid and the art is really polished.
