A must have for all Mario fans. I've been a die hard Kart fan since Mario Kart first came out. This has to top all Mario Kart games. The online play is amazing. The land, air, sea travel is out of this world. The 3D enhances gameplay like never before. My 7 year old and I have Kart Championships daily. This game is worth the upgrade to a 3DS. A no brainer investment for your whole family. The only thing I wish were different was battle mode in Mulitiplayer. This was one of the best features with the original Kart Seriies, but once again is missing. Have fun----& my son just told me to tell everyone he always beats his dear old Dad......Lol----enjoy this game and your new system.

This game is absolutely amazing. I got an advanced copy and absolutely love this game. One of the tracks that I've played actually has you on land, in the water, and in the sky. It's totally different than any other Mario Kart game you have ever player. Go pre-order your copy and let's play online!!

There wasn't much to this game, very boring and short.

Mario Kart 7 is probably the best racing game so far for the 3DS. With the ability to play as new characters, play as your Mii, play 16 remade maps that appeared from the SNES - the Wii Mario Kart titles, ability to customize your kart, and my favorite online multiplayer. Graphics are decent, especially for a title that's on a handheld. Grand Prix is pretty much like Mario Kart Wii, beat all races in 50, 100, and 150cc and unlock the mirror mode. The new maps that's in the game are great to, 3 of them are sectioned races which I find fun because in laps it feels short sometimes, but the maps that uses sections is different, like one big race track. The only minor issues to the game is there are no bikes and the character roster is lacking compared to Mario Kart Wii, but not by much. To unlock car parts you got to collect coins, every time you collect a certain amount of coins you unlock a random vehicle part, could be the main frame, wheels, or even a new glider. Also by collecting coins in races you can go a little bit faster, maximum amount of coins is 10. This is a very good game for the 3DS system, I love this game, sometimes I can't let down my 3DS system even when the red light is blinking, so I shove in my charger cord. I highly recommend Mario Kart 7, I'll even recommend it as a starter game.

Okay so I have a 9, 6, and 4 year old. ALL girls. I got this game because I always played Mario cart when I was in middle and high school and I loved it. So I got it for them and I am still the master. My 9 year old can unlock the cups and my 6 year old is good too. To unlock the harder cups it gets handed over to Mommy and she shows them how it is done. The kids fight over this game and the 3D looks awesome on it. You can also battle and do other things here as well as play with online players. I would highly recommend this to any kids starting at 4 years old because she can also play and have fun.

This game is part of a great franchise of Mario kart racing games. I love the unique gameplay where I am able to use two screens to my advantage. You use the top 3D screen for racing while the bottom screen is to see the whole track and all racers.

Sure, many of the courses look very familiar, but it's fun playing Mario Kart in 3-D. I bought this game with my New Nintendo 3DS XL and it's been great being able to take the racing on the road.

Anybody of a certain age remembers racing on Nintendo's Wii or even back on the N64. This game brings back fond memories of those days. With tracks taken from those eras, plus some new fun surprises, this game is great for any Mario racing fan. Racing data is also shared via StreetPass as well.

The music is excellent, the new flying and underwater segments actually feel cool. What I don't like is that they took away many characters, and put in some characters that nobody cares about. But still, the tracks are incredibly fun. Definitely recommend. I play it on the bus to school all the time and it definitely keeps me entertained.

While the graphics aren't necessarily the best, the gameplay is what counts, and this is pure Mario Kart through and through. The ability for two people to play with one cartridge is also worth mentioning. This feature has brought hours of fun to my nephew and me.

Mario Kart 7 is a good racing game for the 3DS, and there's a lot of tracks and characters and kart customization options to choose from, which makes it to where you could play this game and all the tracks hundreds of times and not get bored. Unfortunately, the new additions to the karts- motors for underwater racing and a glider for air travel- aren't really utilized all that well. Many areas where you use the glider are areas that in previous MK games would just be launch jumps or something similar, and in many of these sections you want to land back onto the track as quickly as possible anyway. The underwater levels are also a new addition, but aside from the scenery in some of them, they are somewhat underwhelming as well. I did like the addition of a few point-to-point "tracks" divided into sections instead of the standard race track, but again these aren't really utilized very well, and a couple of them seem much longer than the standard 3-lap race elsewhere. The re-introduction of coins to the game as well was unwanted; I like the throwback to older MK titles (in this case, the Game Boy Advance version), but like a lot of the other "new" items, they were poorly utilized as well. The gameplay is great. If you have people to play with or will play via Nintendo WiFi or other connections, then you will enjoy this game. However, the poor implementation of a lot of the new ideas, which had so much potential, just wasn't my cup of tea.
