Finally the return of Mario Kart with Mario Kart 8 deluxe. This is the most fun I have ever had playing a Nintendo game. The graphics are terrific and this a game for everyone to join in on the fun. I definitely will recommend this for anyone who is fortunate enough to get their hands on a Nintendo Switch.

With the new Switch console out I was hoping for the next installments in many of the major Nintendo lineups, this includes the Mario Kart series. Albeit I was slightly disappointed when MK8 Deluxe was announced, after making the purchase I could not be happier. The graphics and frame rate have (seemingly) been overhauled in comparison to the Wii U version. This already alone gives Deluxe points in my book. The game offers all the same tracks and characters as the first installment PLUS all the available DLC originally released. They even include several bonus characters that did not appear at all in the Wii U version (King Boo, Dry Bones). The other major change in gameplay is the move from single hold items to dual holding of items; as well as a driver assist to help aid users in staying on track, good for beginners! The online runs smooth as butter and is easy to access, as well as the wireless switch local play. All in all it may not be the next numerical installment of Mario Kart but it's well worth the purchase in my book!

I bought this game for my 10 y/o son and he loves it! MarioKart Deluxe 8 got amazing graphics, fantastic sounds and awesome colorful race tracks. Every race is a marvel which captures you until the end. Now it is the game of the whole family...

good game i used to play this all the time as a kid on the Wii u and this will be back memories

This was a fantastic game on the Wii U and I love that it made it to the Switch. With a pro controller it handles perfectly! The graphics seem like they got a little boost and with all the DLC included it just feels more complete. Also the new multiplayer modes are some of the best in the series!

Bought the switch system along with this video game. The game itself is awesome for everyone to play. Kids will love this game and picking all the different characters available.

I originally owned this game for the Wii U, compared to the Deluxe counterpart, the Battle Mode and ALL DLC Characters from the Wii U version are included (and more). Let's face it, the Switch has beaten Wii U in life sales. Instead of bringing a system with a tablet that only reaches 30 feet to Play MK8 at a friend's house, I can just bring my Switch over to play for convenience sake. Worth it! Pros: - Everything is unlocked, all DLC Characters from Wii U version are included, plus more. - Proper Battle mode where you can face head to head instead of around a race track. - Take it on the go~! - Two players with ease (use the Joy-Con straps for better comfort - Note: Read the instructions on how to place in the straps before you hurt yourself!) - Double items and double item blocks = less of a gap compared to the Wii U version of the game. - Customize your Kart or Bike - PLUS New Parts have been added. Cons: - Already own the Wii U version - As mentioned in Pros, every character that matters is unlocked. - Gold Mario if you beat the game.

My son is 5 years old and this is a great game for his age group, as well as his sister who is 12, and my husband. They love playing this game and normally play with the Nintendo Switch Steering Wheel we bought to go with this game.

Everytime I play Mario Kart I feel like a kid again. Mario Kart 8 still has all the good feels, and great graphics to boot. Different controller configurations are super cool too for steering with a remote or using the handheld.

This was a gift for a grandson and he absolutely loves it !! He is so into video games but he’s only allowed 2 hours a day to play. This is his go to game. He is 6 years old but on a 9 year old level in school. Good game for any age !!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this game. Must buy for any switch owner. Such a fun game to play solo or with people you know or don’t know. I can grind it for hours or play for 15 mins and get enjoyment out of it.

Great graphics, the grandsons will love the oled screen. Glad I bought this instead of waiting for the switch 2.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, a port of the popular Wii U title Mario Kart 8, is one of the few first party Nintendo games available for the new Nintendo Switch console. Unlike other ports, such as Breath of the Wild and the currently un-released Pokken Tournament DX, MK8 Deluxe actually offers new features not available in the original game. Battle modes, secondary items, and a few characters are added and are actually well worth the money. Coupled with the DLC from MK8 available at start, this is definitely a good purchase. Visually, the game is stunning and very pleasant to play. It plays well in both handheld and docked modes, and plays with a good mix of ease and difficulty that can really appeal to more hardcore and casual players at the same time. If you're looking for a great co-op game or just something to sink time into, go for it. Do note though, the single Joy-con configuration is possibly the worst way to play. If you're planning on doing multi-player, invest in extra controllers or grips that make the single joy-con easier to hold.

Can't go wrong with Mario! Picked it up for a great deal on Mar10 day.

Love mario kart its been a great and fun game , i have been wanting this game for a while now and im very happy with it

Good game that my niece loves and enjoy playing. I highly recommend this and it’s for all ages to play for family time.

I like playing Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8 is even better. Controls are still very precise, graphics are much better and the assorment of vehicles and option looks really good. You now need the switch online subcription to play online multiplayer on this, but still a great game.
