A great game! It's my first return to Mario Kart since the game cube era, and I've had a blast so far. It plays well on the switch. The 2P portability is fantastic while on the road as well.

Mario Kart isn't intended to be a racing sim like Gran Turismo or Forza. It's always been a fun racing game meant to be played with others. We love having this game, and it's the best Mario Kart to date.

This game is one of my favorites of all time. My nieces absolutely loved it. I was pricing it around the holidays and Best Buy had the best deal.

I bought this game mainly to play with my wife and kids. All 4 of us are very competitive and have a blast playing this game. I couldn't recommend this game more if you have kids and are looking for a great game to play together.

This is really the definitive version of Mario Kart 8. If you've not checked it out on the Wii U, it's more or less a required buy for the Switch if you have any interest in Mario Kart. If you've played it on the Wii U without the DLC, I think there's enough value here to make it worth the buy. If you had the DLC, that's when things become more muddled. It's certainly great, and the ability to hold two items adds a new dynamic. There's also the improved battle mode, which is great. But unless you want to take it on the go and play with friends, I'm not convinced it's worth it. It sounds as though the online isn't in the best shape either, if that's a big point for you. Overall it's a ton of fun though. If you want some good kart racing, it'll be hard to go wrong with Mario and friends.

This game is everything I wanted it to be. Lots of fun be able to play new maps and new characters on the switch but have the same feel as the older games. Also so much fun to play online against people. Highly recommend this game!

Probably my kid's favourite game! Many creative race scenarios, amazing graphics. And it integrates well with the plastic wheels (sold separately) that makes it more fun.

Great hame for teens. Easy to play with friends from anywhere. Lots of characters.

This finally turned my 49yr young wife into a gamer and apparently into a sailor as well.

If you have played Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U then this is still worth getting as there is soooo much more & it includes new characters & Battle Mode finally! New tracks plus all the original DLC. It runs best on the Switch as well.

Although I skipped out on the Wii U itself. I definitely am still in love with Mario kart. Always good fun online or with friends. Great Graphics, and of course the return of battle mode makes this game a must own for the switch.

One of my favorite games ever. I've loved the Mario Kart series since the SNES and loved playing Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U. This version has all the DLC from the Wii U version right off the bat. Fantastic game and it's a must own.

Amazing that Mario is still a huge seller. We both the Nintendo Switch for our adult sons and MarioKart is their favorite game, as it was when they were kids.

This game is so fun! You can play by yourself, with the family at home and even players from around the world. Played this almost every day straight for a week, haha.
