While Mario Kart 8 itself was essentially THE perfect Mario Kart game to me, this "Deluxe" cash-grab is a little heavy handed on Nintendo's part. The full price tag just isn't worth the new Battle Modes and a few Inklings/Inkling themed karts. Not only that, but instead of offering a DLC package for Wii U owners (along with a patch for the two-item change), they essentially shafted the millions of original owners while charging FULL price if they wanted to get in on any of the new stuff. For those millions of owners, this is one pricey DLC package. But hey, you know, at least it's 1080p, now...

By far one of the best games in the series! There are a lot of characters and vehicle customization. If you are a Nintendo Switch owner, you can't pass the opportunity to play with friends and family, as it has an appeal that attracts all types of people, even non-gamers.

This is definitely a must buy if you have a Nintendo Switch. I had never played any of the Mario Carts games before, so I am new to the franchise. I love the game. It is a different type of racing game and it is really fun to play, either one player or two player.

What more is there to say about one of Nintendo’s top selling stories franchises. This is a top flight Nintendo game. In addition, the game was great for getting my 4 year old daughter into the world of Mario.

Its a great game to play with friends and family. However I got it on sale and any Nintendo game thats been our for more than 2 years shouldn't be priced at $60. But thats my opinion.

My 5 year old nephew likes this. He isn't super coordinated yet, but the game has a feature to guide inexperience players back onto the race track if they mess up, so he is able to complete races until he gets more experienced.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gives the Wii U title exactly what was missing. The graphics have been beautifully boosted and the battle mode has already eaten up hours of my time. This is just what the Switch needed to keep it in the public eye until the next wave of games in June.

If you have been playing Mario Kart for as long as I have you would how much fun it is. But on the Nintendo Switch it is 10x more fun since you can play about 4 different ways. In this game you will see new and old courses that will make you feel excited and competitive.

This is MK8, but includes new battle modes, characters, double items, and more. Beautiful game on the Switch, and great couch multiplayer!

Got this as a present for my brothers 18th birthday, he’d been playing a few weeks then decided to challenge me. Only really ever playing Mario kart on Mobile, I picked it up and played no problem! (Beat him with all his practice too)

Played the first MARIO karts version in the past and this one is by far the best. Been playing everyday for two weeks now and keeps getting more fun especially with how fast you can advance and get new upgrades to your kart.

I haven’t played Mario Kart since double dash, and this one reminded me why the series is so great. Classic Mario kart with enjoyable online gameplay, my only gripe is with everything unlocked from the start kind of takes away the fun from single player mode.

Brings back nastalga every time I play this game. It's good for any age. And the fact that the switch is portable and has 2 controllers is the best system out right now. Set up and played a few quick games with a coworker during break and everyone wanted to join.

Love how easy and fun the game is! Beginner friendly but if you are looking for competition, online is NO JOKE! Also a great party / friend game.

This game I owned on the Wii U and did not have any plans to purchase it again on the Switch. Turns out all of my Switch-owning friends bought it and we've played it together regularly ever since. This is one of those must-have games on the Switch.

Got this for my son as his first switch game. He was 3 at the time, now 4 a year later and absolutely loves it still. We play all the time and I personally don’t game. Worth it!
