Purchased this game for my son as a reward for good behavior, and we both love playing it! The graphics are awesome, and the controllers for the Nintendo Switch make it easy to play even for a mom who doesn't usually play video games!

Great game reminds me my childhood can’t wait to play this with the kids

My 5 and 4 year old are having a great time. We also have the racing wheels. I think this makes it much easier for the kiddos to play. They race against each other and also play coop. It's a great addition if you are a Mario Kart fan.

Great game in the Mario Kart series. This is a deluxe version of Mario Kart 8 that was released for the Wii U. This game has all the great things that make Mario Kart fun. The tracks are great and varied with some popular tracks from older Mario Kart games. Controlling the game works great too. You can use the Joy-Cons, split the Joy-Cons for 2 player, and use the pro controller. They all work great and controlling the kart is responsive and tight. They also include a Smart controller mode which basically helps steer and accelerate, great for younger kids. They will feel they are actually racing and not have to worry about falling off the track. There a lot of content in this game: tracks, racers, different kart mods, and the online play is fun too. This is a must have for the Nintendo Switch!

Not absolutely necessary if you played the Wii U version, but its great regardless. Lots of neat extras and the same great gameplay. It would be nice if it wasn't $60 given its a re-release, but I still highly recommend it.

I purchased this game for the family to play together. It was a great idea! My son's and their kids have had repeat battles over who is the best. I recommend this and for everyone, but make sure you but the steering wheel adapters.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game is great for all ages! The Mario games are almost like a throwback to the classic original games from the 80s. Fun for all ages and something that you can compete against your kid with.

This is my second time buying this game - had it and the expansion on the Wii U. Still a beautiful game years after it was released and a great way to engage with my young son and enter him into the world of Mario. Controls are easy - you can have really basic controls if you use the joycons or more advanced if you use the pro controller or the included adapter that turns 2 joycons into a standard controller. The game’s online functionality keeps your kids safe from anyone acting inappropriately but does not protect them from bad drivers. Overall a wholesome recommendation!

this game has all the tracks ever created for mario cart. ranging from GBA to N64 to the gamecube. if you are a fan you cannot miss this. Becuase of the NS unique design you can play anywhere you want with friends.

Great game! My family and i love it! I've played the very first Mario Kart all the way up to this one. It's very cool to play with my wife and kids. It's also awesome that with the Nintendo subscription i can show them whose boss on all of the older courses. Awesome game!

This version of Mario Kart 8 is the definitive edition. It's loaded with tracks and characters with still some things to unlock and customize. Best of all, battle mode is back! This is a must own for any Nintendo Switch owners.
