This is easily the best version of Mario Kart that you can get. It's a great showcase for the Switch as well. The portability of the system, combined with split-screen play is excellent.

If you have the wii-u version this is pretty much all the DLC plus a few extra characters. Right now the online is VERY unstable. It is hard to connect to a friend and unlike the wiiu version (where if a room is full you can watch until a spot opens up) if the room is full you can't join (which makes racing with friends in non private rooms a pain in the butt). They did fix battle mode though which moves this from a 3 to a four star.

I've read that this is just a redo of the Wii U version, which it might be. I never played that version. It is still a fun and great game. Definitely worth buying for the Mario Kart fan.
