So, yes, this is a slight upgrade to the Wii U version of Mario Kart 8, but no enough people bought a Wii U to really notice. This game is pure Mario Kart joy, and with the Switch, you will always have an extra controller for your friend to play with you on the train/plane/wherever. The game looks stunning and runs silky smooth in docked mode as well as handheld mode. The unlockables will keep you racing for hours and hours, and the online is very fun. Also, if you have friends that have a Switch, you can all play wirelessly without wifi. It's amazing.

With the new updated battle mode and all characters and levels unlocked when you get the game this makes it the ultimate version of the game and a must have.

This is a fantastic entry in the Mario Kart series! I go back and forth on whether or not it's the best Mario Kart game ever, but if it's not the best, it's right up there! And certainly for content it's probably the best, especially if you get the DLC. This is a strong recommend!

I loved Mario Kart on the Wii, and this updated version does not disappoint! The graphics are incredible just as I imagined they would be. Hours of fun!

Mario Kart is still the king of kart racing. The auto drive and auto steer make it easy for young children to enjoy it with the rest of the family!

This is by far my son favorite game. There’s plenty of characters to choose from and lots of new and exciting tracks to race on. Over all great game!!

This game is not only fun for children but it's also fun for any age it has smooth graphics and great tracks especially if you like a sense of nostalgia

My daughter had told me that she wanted to play a game with me and so i thought about something we could play together. Well no better than Mario Kart and it was a huge success, she loves it and we get to spend quality time playing the game.

This is mostly the same as the previous couple installments but it's for the Switch and includes some new features such as multiple items and Splatoon characters. I believe some modes may be new too. The online multiplayer is also more challenging than vs cpu. Local multiplayer was simple with the joycons and some inexpensive wheel grips. Though, it still required changing the layout through the system, not the game. Ultimately, I prefer the Pro Controller with this game most if you can. Though it's not necessary at all, I think the game is more responsive to its precision.

I own a Wii U and Mario kart 8 and that didn't stop my from trying Mario kart 8 Deluxe. I love the new modes and having it in portable is a dream come true.

You can't go wrong with Mario Kart. It's for fun all ages. Easy pick up and play for kids as well with assisted driving. Well worth it if you have a Switch.

Honestly this is the best Mario Kart you can get, unless you have a nostalgic attachment to an older one I can't see why you would consider any other one better. They fixed the awful battle mode in the Wii U version, and have all the dlc tracks included too. Just about my only complaint is not giving us the Mii Racing outfits free in this version, and maybe some nostalgic tracks I'd like to see back.

We got this game for my kids for christmas. They love it.

The game seems almost the same as the previous version for the Wii U. Minor changes, new characters look great, my 6 year old son loves the gane as well.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a great game and great buy if you have a Nintendo Switch. If you have and are happy with the Wii U version though you can afford to skip this one as the new content that they added is barely much to talk about. It would have been great if Nintendo did some forward compatibility upgrades for people who had already played these on Wii U. Really this is just the Wii U version with some perks some due to the portability of the Nintendo Switch some to certain things being unlocked. If you haven't played the game on the Wii U this is definitely a must buy.

Great game, my 5 year old loves it as much as my wife. Easy to play and has all of the original stuff built in. Highly recommend.

Dude this game is freaking awesome I sat down thinking of playing for half an hour . Nope ended up playing over 3 hours it’s addictive so much fun . So recommend for all ages even the granny’s have fun . Great to get the family together . GRACIAS ….
