After staying away from Nintendo home consoles for decades I am glad to be back. This Mario Kart may be the best one ever created. With many options for driving modes (you can turn on/off driving assist, auto acceleration, and tilt controls) it makes it amazing for new comers and hardcore racing fans. Also, they have made it possible to avoid the BLUE SHELLS with the super horn. The addition of a super fun battle mode has rounded out this entry as one of the best if not THE best Mario Kart available today.

Despite my rating, I'm actually not a huge fan of this game. I mainly play games alone, so the chaos of Mario Kart just gets frustrating for me after a while. However, Mario Kart is still a classic party game, so it gets credit for that. More importantly, the new control options make this game so accessible that I can play with my 3-year-old, and even (kind of) my 1-year-old. That means Mario Kart 8 may be the only game out there that allows my entire family to truly play together. And THAT is pretty amazing.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best game in the series, with an enormous amount of content, and portability through the Switch which is just amazing. I can only nitpick, and of course it has to do with Nintendo's online system... there still really isn't one, and it's just bare bones. No leaderboards, friend codes (UGH) and only versus and battle options. But I've been playing those for days, it would just be nice to have a ranked option with leaderboards. Other than that, this is one of the best games of all time.

This has been lots of fun especially for the children but also for the adults. Lots of different tracks with a variety of obstacles. Perhaps most important, there is a variety of skill levels so that the most inexperienced racer can have fun and win while the most experienced racer can find a challenge. Of course, at the heart is the same addictive game that's been entertaining gamers for nearly 30 years.

Haven’t played this one yet, but my grandkids love it. There are new tracks and characters.

This game provides endless fun. Can be played against other local players or online.

Mario Kart is back! Takes me back to when I used to play on the N64. Amazing graphics and fun to play. Can't wait for Mario World.

Graphics are great, easy game to play and reminds me of the Mario kart I played when I was little!

Mario Kart 8 is the best kart racing game Nintendo has made in a long time. It strikes a careful balance between refining old ideas while introducing fresh new ones. Admittedly, its gorgeous graphics and jazzy orchestrated soundtrack bolster its presentation, but you’re getting a lot more than just looks with this one – although I spent an awful lot of time gawking at the details in slow-motion, the fast and furious pace of racing with friends both locally and online is what really kept me coming back.

I was a bit skeptic that this version of MK, could deliver the older versions which are now Classics. I was wrong, even though it took me a bit to get used to the difference in the dynamics of steering and drift as supposed to the older versions once I found my groove I was loving the wild and colorful track's and nods to older version tracks. I was so impressed that they could take yet again a simple game premise and give it enough wrinkles to keep it fresh! I love it

I always buy every Mario kart that comes out. Really great game and very nostalgic. This one has more characters and tracks.

Got this game because I used to play it as a kid. Now my own kids can enjoy it too.

This is a great family game. We enjoy beating each one out for 1st place

Several of the circuits are the old ones and will bring back fun memories.there are also fun new characters, cars, and circuits!

All character are out at the start, all tracks ready to go, and a new battle mode. Awesome pick for the Switch to take on the go.

Game on its own is a 5 and includes the best mix of old and new tracks. The extra tracks being another cost seems like a money grab from nintendo- that I will likely succumb to. Definitely not necessary though!

This game is fun! We have so much fun even when it’s only 2 players. The different cars and graphics are amazing.

Whenever I have friends over, they want to play this game. It has fun levels and all the characters from Nintendo together.

Another game that is great for the switch. A great time when you take it on the go and battle your friends in races. Great fun!
