Even as an almost direct port of the Wii version, this game is still worth a purchase. Enough additions to stand on its own. If you don’t have the Wii version, then this is a must add for the Switch. The individual joycon controllers are a little strange, but easy enough to get used to. There’s so many courses and characters, that you’ll be entertained for hours, and when you are tired of it, it’s still a great party game with friends.

I bought Mario Kart for the Wii U and put in dozens of hours alone and with friends and family. Easily one of my favorite games on the console. When I got a Switch I wasn't sure if it would be worth to re-buy it but it is 100% worth every penny. The changes and upgrades feel notable when you're playing and the added characters, battle mode, and overall extra polish make the best Mario Kart experience since Mario Kart 64.

This game is awesome! Fun alone, better with another, even better with three others. And you can play online opponents?!?! Also, having race courses from previous Nintendo systems gives this game a hint of nostalgia with current race features. Simply awesome.

Your classic Mario Kart comes to the Switch and brings the same excitement and energy that we know. It's nice to play with friends but you won't get much screen space if you use the Switch display instead of the dock to hook it up to your TV. But if your friends aren't around then it's equally as fun to just play on your own, plus you get the extra screen space that comes with playing alone.

What can I say, it’s Mario Kart. It’s fun for everyone, great game for parties.

I also played this game on the Wii U, which was also great. This version of the game adds a few enhancements, such as changes to the way that items are held, and adding new characters. The biggest change is in the new battle modes, which are great fun. Overall, if you got your fill on Wii U, you may need to do mental calculus to decide if a portable version is worth it to you. If you never played the original, This a great game to get on the Switch!

This game is a great game. Hours of fun for the entire family. A new experience for a old family favorite.

Its Mario Kart 8. Come on, you know its good. Only problem is online play is too overly competitive. Playing with friends is the best way to play this game.

Nintendo has a bad habbit of re-releasing games on their newest console as a port. But dad-gummit if some of them aren't good! While Nintendo loses some points for laziness on a new-console port, they earn them back for the simple fact that this Deluxe version has all the previous DLC as standard. Plus it is one of those games you can bring out on a party setting and enjoy.

A great game for families, easily understood by players of all ages, easy to lose a lot of hours to.

Was a bit upset that I had to buy this game again since I already have it for the Wii U. This is also the reason I held off on buying it. But, since we have multiple Switches at home, I had to purchase this copy. It’s still a fantastic game and the few new additions are good. The kids love this game and multiplayer is probably the best feature. This is a must have game.
