Fun Game. I used to play Mario Kart DS a lot as a kid so this game is a total upgrade definitely recommend.

You can’t have a Nintendo system without getting Mario Kart! Was so excited to see that they brought back the two item thing that was in Double Dash. Love all the courses being included and having the option for the auto accelerate allows my younger kids to successfully play with us! Only thing that made me sad was the lack of new courses. Fingers crossed that they come out with an expansion option soon.

If you have a switch then you should own this game. I play this game with my 6 year old and we had thr beat time. It is not a complicated game to play so it is a quck setup to play. I highly recommend getting the added tracks by getting the on-line expansion pack.

First let's get this part out of the way....yes it is a "upgraded" version of Mario Kart 8 from the Wiiu. But that is a great thing! As someone who bought, and played MK8 on the wiiU (along with all the dlc) I was initially skeptical about MK8Deluxe for the switch. Should I buy it..is it worth it? YES! No matter if you are getting it for the 1st time or you are a repeat customer (like me) it's worth the purchase. New game battle modes immediately set the game apart from its predicesor. They are something my 7yr old and myself find our selves going back to and playing vs each other. The ability to play it on the tv.split screen or on the go split screen or linked to another switch are fabulous! Take karting on the go wherever you are! And while you have to collect coins in races to unlock new kart parts. All the characters and tracks are unlocked from the start. This is good and bad. I like to play to "try to unlock" so it was a little disappointing..but to have them all from the start was great esp. with my 7yr old being able to pick whoever and race wherever. This is the second great must have game for the switch.(after ZELDA). If Nintendo's 1st party games stay at this quality(which I fully expect) then this 1st year of TE switch will be awesome. If your looking for fast paced fun, and lots of yelling at each other for throwing that blue or red shell just at the right moment to cost your opponent the win then I can't suggest MARIO Kart 8 deluxe enough! Go get it!

Very easy to learn how to play and very fun to play with friends. Must have.

Its a must have if u like having people over and want a simple fun game to play. The online is also really fun, but its not quite there yet it kicks me off every 3 or 4 games, but not really any lag while in the game. The new battle modes are pretty fun. The joycons work fine sideways as controllers there isnt a huge need to play with a full controller. All in all if u have a switch and like multiplayer buy it

If you have ever played Mario Kart before, you know how much fun it is to pack a room full of 4 people and battle it out on the race tracks, and this game is no different. It brings together many old classic Mario Kart tracks along with many new and beautifully designed courses. It is another must-buy for the Switch! Plus, I am a huge fan of the new and customizable controller settings.

I was debating on getting MK8D on the Switch because I already had MK8 on the Wii U. I ended up caving in and getting it on the Switch anyway and don't regret it. Thanks to the portability of the Switch, I can play with anyone, anywhere. And thanks to the auto steer and auto accelerate, my little baby cousin can play with me no problems (only he'd do a lot better if he let the auto pilot just do its thing).

This is the best Mario Kart game to date! Superb courses, nice characters and super smooth game play with a stable 60 fps. Also for time-trial fanatics there is enough to do with a Nintendo ghost to beat in every level and courses that let ypu master them in every detail, This is a no-brain er for every Nintendo Switch owner

Great game for the family and easy to play.Hours of fun

I haven't played Mario Kart since the first one on the Super Nintendo back in 1993. It has improved a lot but didn't lose its original charge. Only played in handheld mode so far and it's smooth like butter. A must have for the Switch. Might be different if you already bought it for the Wii U and spent money on the dlc but for someone like me who is a first time player it is a great deal and ridiculous fun.

A truely timeless game! A little sad you have to pay extra for some other cups, but there's so much to do in the gane is dorsnt matter

As a fan of the SNES Mariokart, I am very happy with the latest iteration of this franchise. The courses are incredibly creative, but my favorite ones are the old ones, especially Rainbow Road from the SNES. It's been fun trying to find the best combination of chassis, tires, and glider to improve my times. The ability to play with friends in person or online makes the game infinitely fun and challenging.

Mario Kart has a great history of sitting next to buddies and racing against them. Nintendo have yet again put out a wonderfully fun game to play with your friends. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a game you need to own if you have a Nintendo Switch. If you don't have any local friends, don't worry there are online races in which you can participate in. If you own Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U should you get this game?

While there isn’t any new Mario kart coming for the switch yet, this may be the best one from the recent past iterations. Most likely people played the wii version and the motion controls turned them off and a lot of people may not have owned a Wii U. Give this one a shot as the courses and characters are great and is vastly improved if the last one you played was the wii version.

Easy to play and great graphics. Bought for my younger son and he loves it.
