I recently purchased a Switch, which is the first console I've owned since the Wii. I'm generally not much of a gamer when it comes to modern systems. There was a bit of a learning curve and the game itself does not have much in the way of instructions, so I had to watch YouTube videos to learn how to play. I love that I can play online with random people around the world and I can play my brother, so we can interact even though we don't live close to each other. For what you get $60 seems pretty steep for a Nintendo game, but at least there was a deal at the time to get the game for $50.

Overall a great game, lots of character selections and track selections, some tracks are a great throwback to previous games.

Great game to play by yourself, with 4 players or online. I’m 60 years old and still love playing this game with my 30 & 28 year old sons online.

Honestly, there's not much more to say. It's Mario Kart, for the Switch. Plays exceptionally well - pick a character, build a cart from body, tires, and parachute (all of which affects handling/speed/acceleration/etc) race around the tracks and hope to win. Multiplayer is quick and simple to set up. Blue shells are a pain.

I love Mario Kart 8. I originally rented it from Vintage Stock when it released on the Wii U to play with my cousins one weekend. However, I found I enjoyed the game so much I bought the copy I rented and never returned it. It is even better on the Switch -- especially since the battle mode on the Wii U was useless. I haven't played battle mode much on the Switch, but what little I've played is far more enjoyable than the Wii U version. If you've never played Mario Kart 8, own a Switch, and enjoy Mario Kart games, I highly recommend this game. However, if you've already sunk hours into the Wii U version, bought the DLC, and don't care about portability or battle mode, it isn't worth spending the $60 to re-purchase.

This game is the PERFECT Mario game for both single player and multiplayer. Perfect for families as well.

What else is there to say about this game that hasn’t already been said this is a must buy for the Nintendo switch. It is a fun single and multiplayer game but just know online matches are tough so get ready for a challenge.

First game I purchased for my new Nintendo switch. Brings back the old memories from the 64 version. Love this game! Great for parties and family events.

I just fell in love with the game. It brought me back to my N64 days. It is a classic game with a modern touch. The best part is, everyone can and most likely will enjoy playing this game. Just remember drifting in this game is important, especially if you want to win!

A classic and must have! I always play this games at my friend's house and after finally getting a switch, this was an instant purchase. Everyone who has a switch should have Mario Kart 8

I really enjoy Mario Kart 8 on Switch. It's been decades since I last played a Mario Kart game but this took me right back to my childhood. The game quality is great, tracks are a fun trip down memory lane, and it's challenging enough without being too difficult. And has constant replay value. Definitely recommend.

It’s fun alone but really shines through with friends. It’s another Mario kart game. The double items really can change things up tho. Online can be really choppy, I hope it can be improved on

I'm a big fan of the series. I grew up with Mario and it's cool that my kids love it too. I like that the kids can play for an hour and put it away bc it's not a long role playing game. They keep entertained and will replay it over and over. They don't have to wait for their sibling to play with bc they can play with others online.

I am addicted lol I got this for my kids and seems like now is a family game . Is pretty fun
