A++++ really great game. The best Mario Kart over all

Although almost similar to the Wii U version, it has a few new things added such as a few new characters, items, vehicles and new battle modes (Renegade Roundup is fun!). Overall, another fun fan-favorite game that you can now take with you on-the-go thanks to the Switch!

Super fun game title, kids love it. Great fir whole family. Switch is great because you can take it with you so easily and this game is a hit with everyone. And I’m not even a Mario fan and still love it.

We used to play Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U. But the Switch version is so much better! It has way more tracks and better graphics. The grandkids (ages 3-8) love coming to Nana's house to play. The only problem is that they cry when they have to leave.

mario kart was one of the first games I fell in love with and mario kart 8 has taken it to the next level. So many tracks with many classics remastered and brought back. A+

Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U was an amazing game. Except for Battle Mode. That has been fixed with a new, amazing battle mode and all the tracks and characters (including downloadable content) from the Wii U version.... and the portability aspect is the icing on the cake.

Great game with lots of fun maps, cars and characters to try out. Fun for multiple players to be able to play at once with additional controllers. A bit pricey, but fun for all ages.

I love this game. I bought it to play with my kids. They are 3 and 4 and playing with the wheel is very intuitive and funny! This is fun for the whole family

Full HD Mariokart on the go? Yes Please! The last time I played Mariokart was on the 3DS. This is so much better. I never played the Wii U version, so it was a real eye opener. The tracks have so much detail and having them in high definition is totally immersive. With all of the characters unlocked right off the bat, I could jump right in and choose what I wanted without any DLC. Probably the best part is local multi-player. That is how this game was meant to be played. There's nothing like split screening with friends. Multiplayer off the television was so difficult on the 3DS. But now with the switch, I can play with friends on the spot. It's a perfect fit for the platform. This is a staple if you own the Switch. It is great for quick games while you're waiting on the bus, or you need a quick break from work. the fact that the races last just 3 minutes makes it super easy to sneak in a quick game!

This is one game that can appeal to everyone. I havent played a Mario Kart game is about a decade, but this game feels familiar yet extremely polished. The visuals are stunning and I love the retro tracks. We've put many hours into this game, and it still feels fresh.

Bought this game along with a switch due to corona virus quarantine measures placed in California. I own several other games, and this is by far my favorite. Great graphics, great controls, easy to learn, and fun fun fun!!!!

Pretty fun and easy to use. Was the perfect gift for my 4 year old nephew!

I should have done more research I guess, but I was under the impression there would be new content/improvement of some kind from the Wii U edition. There isn't. Same game. for what it's worth, it's an amazing game.. just don't expect anything new.
