Game is smooth either on the small screen or big one....can't go wrong either way....many tracks and options will have you playing all day...8 player multiplayer.

I had this game on WII U, the Switch version is just superior on every single aspect... better graphics, new races, new characters, new modes... Highly recommended!

Great Mario Kart game but what really steps it up for me was how ridiculously accessible some of the changes have made it, You can turn on basically a bumper mode so you never steer off a cliff, auto-accelerate so you don't push buttons to go, and steer by tilting the joy-con. The combination of these mean that my 3 year old daughter can play Mario Kart and actually complete levels and have a great time racing along. She's getting a hang of using the one button she needs to press and that's to launch her items. The way this game has changed so that even someone of her age can play definitely makes it great

You really can’t go wrong with a Mario Kart game. There’s more characters, updated tracks, and just all around greatness to be experienced by everyone.

Fun game to play with the kids. Easy to learn how to play and nothing controversial. Would buy again.

What needs to be said about Mario Kart? If you havent played a game in this series' 25 year history then you must live under a rock. This game is well known and well loved, and for a reason. Choose between many different Mario and Nintendo characters, such as Link or Donkey Kong. Choose a vehicle. Choose a track or championship and off you go! This time around there is heated online versus competition, so hone your skills in single player or local multiplayer and go orove you are the best of the best! Great game and if you have a Nintendo Switch, this should be a required purchase.

Great version of Mario Kart. It is helpful to have kart items that unlock over time based on coin collected to keep engaged when there's not much in terms of linear challenge as a single-player outside of getting 3 stars on each race series across all cc levels. If I could give 1 'wish' that isn't really something Mario Kart has EVER done (nor expected by anyone), would be to create some sort of value/engagement-add by creating some purpose or directive around the single-player race series (like a Forza or any other racing game).

First off, if you owned Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U like we did, I stand by my 4 star rating. If you skipped MK8, or this is your first MK title, then this game deserves a 6 star review. Our family loves racing Mario Kart. Moving from the Wii U to the Switch, this was a must have for our family. If you've played Mario Kart before, you're getting the same here (if you played on the Wii U, almost exactly the same). If this is your first Mario Kart title, this game is a blast. The Good: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has a bunch of content. Out of the box you have a plenty of characters to play, a bunch of courses to race, and a lot of play styles to enjoy. I could try to list them all, but there are better wikis out there which will do a better job. One thing I really enjoy is the increase in performance over the previously owned title on the Wii U. If you've played Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, you'll completely understand. If you haven't played MK8 on the Wii U, disregard the previous critique. The Bad: If you have the Wii U version, you're pretty much paying for the same game twice. The couple of extra characters (like King Boo) and the couple of new vehicles and items do at least add a little more the to game, but not enough to really feel good about it. Again, if you played before on the Wii U, there is no transferring your previous progress to this title. It's not as terrible as it reads, but it's not great either.

This game should be included with the console! It’s a must have for any switch. So much laughter and fun for any age!

My daughter had told me that she wanted to play a game with me and so i thought about something we could play together. Well no better than Mario Kart and it was a huge success, she loves it and we get to spend quality time playing the game.

This is a re-release of the Wii U Mario Kart 8, but with all downloadable content, all characters, and a new Battle Mode option with multiple play styles. There is a control option that helps keep new players on the track that makes this game accessible to new players and little ones. Fantastic graphics, catchy music, incredible courses with waterfalls, canyons, underwater sections, wall driving... you name it, it's in here. The gameplay is fun and deep, playing more unlocks more options to customize your kart. I simply love this game. This is Nintendo firing on all cylinders. Appropriate for all ages.

Perfect gane for my kid. He loves it and plays everyday now.

MarioKart has been a great way to hang out with our adult kids scattered around the country. A Zoom call on the side allows for sharing stories and heckling. Naturally, this requires a Nintendo online account. There is just enough random chaos to make it entertaining for folks who might not be video game pros, and it doesn't demand twitch reflexes in order to play and have a good time. That said, our 30-something gamer son trounces us most of the time...but not always!

This game brought back so much nostalgia. The only reason I put 4/5 stars is because you have to pay extra to unlock the old roads but either way this game is always fun for house parties.

My kids usually always fight over playing a game there 4&5 , with this one OMG life saver ! They just end up laughing when either one crashes or wins .. Im glad i bought this which i was debating but its a great game
