I like the variety of gameplay options, tracks, single/multiplayer etc. Controls are easy to use, even in the "single joycon" multiplayer configuration, though I'd recommend getting some joycon holders to make the grip more comfortable to hold, especially for adults - those things are tiny. Haven't played with the steering wheel controllers, but it's fun to play with the regular controller too. Kids enjoy it, we can play as a family.

Speed is not everything. Picking up weapons and racing all in one. Cute characters and lots of colors. Fun and competitive

I owned Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU but am glad I made the decision to purchase the Deluxe version on the Nintendo Switch. The game was already among the best Mario Kart titles, with smooth graphics and controls, fun new courses, and a tasteful selection of classics. The addition of a full-featured Battle Mode makes multiplayer that much more fun, especially the return of my favorite mode, Shine Thief. The game also features all of the DLC tracks from the WiiU version, many of which were among the best courses in the entire series.

This is the best version of the best Mario Kart game. It looks great, plays great, and is tons of fun to play with friends or by yourself.

Just like the Wii U version, but better in all ways. Just the fact that you can take it on the go, makes it amazing.

Having a console Mario Kart game on the go has been a dream of many Nintendo fans. With the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that's finally a reality. This game was my favorite Mario Kart when it initially released on the Wii U and having a Deluxe version for Switch is truly incredible. Additions of new characters, karts, and a completely revamped battle mode make this game truly worth the purchase, even if you already bought it for the Wii U. The updated graphics look amazing and make this game even prettier than it was before.

It’s a blast with multiplayer. We’ve unlocked all the vehicles and accessories but that doesn’t matter, the amazing tracks and fun music never get old. My one complaint: the computer cheats.... When trying to unlock all the stars in Grand Prix mode you can be in first place the entire race then the computer will bombard you with blue shells, red shells and lightening before you can cross the finish line. I’ve lost so many races that way, it gets annoying. On my second try the computer calms down, so not too bad.

I've been a fan of the Mario Kart series sincentives the SNES and this is the best of them all. Fun with friends, by yourself or online.

Great game! Very fun playing solo or with the family!

Having not played any Mario Kart since 64, I'm pleasantly surprised at the graphic quality as well as the ease of playing for beginners

Previously a Wii U exclusive but alas has made its way to the Nintendo Switch and for good reason. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe uses everything from its predecessor and more, All content which also includes all DLC tracks and characters with more additional characters and a proper battle mode as well. If you owned this on the Wii U no need to rush and buy but if you're a Switch owner it is a must buy, from single player to online multiplayer and even local multiplayer is not only available in the comfort of your home but on the go too.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a great edition of Mario Kart! For those that own Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, this is only a slight upgrade. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe includes all of the DLC and Battle Mode, among many other tweaks that make this a great experience. These include: better resolution, frame-rate and game-play (sliding mechanism enhanced). For those that do not own Mario Kart 8, but own a switch, this is a great buy, and for those that do own Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, this is still a great buy if you are an avid Mario Kart fan.

Mario Kart 8 is a continuation of the "fun"tantastic game saga we have grown to love for its wacky characters, mild cartoon violence, high octane fueled competition, and overall family friendly entertainment value. Nintendo Switch owners must have Nintendo's Mario Kart 8 in their game collection!

Great version of Mario Kart 8, with all of the DLC from the Wii U version. A lot of fun with family and friends, must have for the Switch!

So fun to play especially with another person and to battle

Numerous tracks, characters to race as, tons of vehicle modifications and new ones unlocked with progress. Great game for all!

Just as good as the original. I don't think it should be full price but if you can find this under $40 definitely grab it!

This game is so much better than the Wii U version. Now the game runs in 1080p, you can hold two items for double the action, and drifting is more important in this game. They included all the DLC from the Wii U for free and even added more characters and cups. A big thing I didn't like about the Wii U version is that I couldn't use gamecube controllers but now the switch version supports it! They also added battle modes in this version so this game is a definite buy.

this game is great for single and amazing for multiplayer. There are so many levels and characters that you never get bored.
