I originally purchased this because my son was interested in the Switch thinking of all of the first games to play, I figured he would enjoy it. I, on the other hand, had minimal Nintendo Hi-Def graphics expectations....I was WRONG!!!! This game, as well as many others on this new Nintendo Switch platform, perform seamlessly, and look awesome!!! This is definitely not like any other of the Nintendo platforms...Well worth the purchase, along with I'm sure many more to follow!

Best game for young children. The game controls are easy to learn and maps/racetracks are always fun. You can use each of the joycons as a separate controller, up to 4 players per console. Additionally, the ability to buy more maps/racetracks in game. My kids love this game, and so do I.

Game on its own is a 5 and includes the best mix of old and new tracks. The extra tracks being another cost seems like a money grab from nintendo- that I will likely succumb to. Definitely not necessary though!

This game is fun and easy to use. I ended up buying the accessory wheels to make the game a little more fun. Worth it.

Mario karts are always so much fun and they get better and better, mariokart 8 is by far the best one yet.

If you never had Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U then do not delay another second, you have to have this but what about those of us who do have it on the Wii U? And those like me who had bought all the DLC - can this remake still bring anything new? Yes, it does. The game looks even better, smoother, faster and comes with a few extra characters and a proper battle mode (the only issue with the Wii U version was the poor battle mode).
