Finally the return of Mario Kart with Mario Kart 8 deluxe. This is the most fun I have ever had playing a Nintendo game. The graphics are terrific and this a game for everyone to join in on the fun. I definitely will recommend this for anyone who is fortunate enough to get their hands on a Nintendo Switch.

With the new Switch console out I was hoping for the next installments in many of the major Nintendo lineups, this includes the Mario Kart series. Albeit I was slightly disappointed when MK8 Deluxe was announced, after making the purchase I could not be happier. The graphics and frame rate have (seemingly) been overhauled in comparison to the Wii U version. This already alone gives Deluxe points in my book. The game offers all the same tracks and characters as the first installment PLUS all the available DLC originally released. They even include several bonus characters that did not appear at all in the Wii U version (King Boo, Dry Bones). The other major change in gameplay is the move from single hold items to dual holding of items; as well as a driver assist to help aid users in staying on track, good for beginners! The online runs smooth as butter and is easy to access, as well as the wireless switch local play. All in all it may not be the next numerical installment of Mario Kart but it's well worth the purchase in my book!

Mario Kart 8: Deluxe has so much going for it. Beautiful visuals and art design, a soundtrack that is fun and catchy, and plenty of replayability. I love the options the game gives in terms of selectable characters, modes, courses, and more. Great choice for all Nintendo Switch owners!

Our son loves it. And plays it regularly. I even get in there and play also with him.

This was a fantastic game on the Wii U and I love that it made it to the Switch. With a pro controller it handles perfectly! The graphics seem like they got a little boost and with all the DLC included it just feels more complete. Also the new multiplayer modes are some of the best in the series!

I originally owned this game for the Wii U, compared to the Deluxe counterpart, the Battle Mode and ALL DLC Characters from the Wii U version are included (and more). Let's face it, the Switch has beaten Wii U in life sales. Instead of bringing a system with a tablet that only reaches 30 feet to Play MK8 at a friend's house, I can just bring my Switch over to play for convenience sake. Worth it! Pros: - Everything is unlocked, all DLC Characters from Wii U version are included, plus more. - Proper Battle mode where you can face head to head instead of around a race track. - Take it on the go~! - Two players with ease (use the Joy-Con straps for better comfort - Note: Read the instructions on how to place in the straps before you hurt yourself!) - Double items and double item blocks = less of a gap compared to the Wii U version of the game. - Customize your Kart or Bike - PLUS New Parts have been added. Cons: - Already own the Wii U version - As mentioned in Pros, every character that matters is unlocked. - Gold Mario if you beat the game.

Mario kart updated. If you like the old ones you’ll like the new . As a grandfather this is one of those games that I am still able to compete,and keep up the kid’s experiencing them for the first time. Lots of fun . We love Nintendo!

Bought the switch system along with this video game. The game itself is awesome for everyone to play. Kids will love this game and picking all the different characters available.

Hands down the best family video game for game night. Hubby and I loved all of the old race courses we remember from former gaming systems and the whole family enjoys working together to collect coins and unlock different items.

My kids love playing this on their switch. The kids can play this easily. They are 8 and 6. I highly recommend a two player but single is just as great.

Love this game. If you liked Mario Kart in the past, this is a no Brainer. Last of a dying breed of fun living room multi-player games.

Bought this game for my grandson’s 10th birthday. He loves it and his older sister who is 16 likes to play with him with it. It seems like it helped bring them together. I’m very satisfied.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, a port of the popular Wii U title Mario Kart 8, is one of the few first party Nintendo games available for the new Nintendo Switch console. Unlike other ports, such as Breath of the Wild and the currently un-released Pokken Tournament DX, MK8 Deluxe actually offers new features not available in the original game. Battle modes, secondary items, and a few characters are added and are actually well worth the money. Coupled with the DLC from MK8 available at start, this is definitely a good purchase. Visually, the game is stunning and very pleasant to play. It plays well in both handheld and docked modes, and plays with a good mix of ease and difficulty that can really appeal to more hardcore and casual players at the same time. If you're looking for a great co-op game or just something to sink time into, go for it. Do note though, the single Joy-con configuration is possibly the worst way to play. If you're planning on doing multi-player, invest in extra controllers or grips that make the single joy-con easier to hold.

I bought this game for my 10 y/o son and he loves it! MarioKart Deluxe 8 got amazing graphics, fantastic sounds and awesome colorful race tracks. Every race is a marvel which captures you until the end. Now it is the game of the whole family...

Fun game. Must practice drifting to be good at it. I enjoy learning how to play.
