this game brings back a nostalgia from my childhood

The kids love this game. They can play for hours .

So I bought a switch mostly for the new Pokemon games as I wanted to relive parts of my childhood. While I waited for the Pokemon game to come in the mail I purchased MarioKart 8 in hopes that I could really relive my N64 childhood years and some older Gamecube years. However, this was a terrible decision as this game is nothing like those of yesteryear. In addition, the gameplay is not engaging or fun at all. Forget the online play, skill matters not in this version and there really is no point to playing the game except to unlock some characters or car parts that don't seem to make a difference. I want my money back!

almost identical with the WiiU version. Nothing new.

For me ever since the GameCube Nintendo has been the party system. The switch and this game are no different.

The digital version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was a perfect buy for me and the portable Switch. It was very easy to get the download right onto my device, and if you can wait for it to go on sale, then it's an even better deal! Just don't play before you go driving, you might have the sudden urge to drift...

My kids age ten and 4 both love playing this game.

Great first game for the Nintendo Switch enjoyable

This version of the game is slightly tweaked and does not function the same as the Wii U version and I am disappointed in it. I will just play the Wii U version. I only got this because of it being portable.

Like a portable wiiu but with limited game options

If you like MARIO cart games, this is good sequel.

This game is a Nintendo staple. The two “must buys” are Smash Brothers and Mario Kart. You won’t be disappointed. Lots of action. Even better if you’re able to pick it up on with any discount.

I played the original on the Super Nintendo and now my kids and I are playing this on the switch. It’s has a lot of new features, but it’s still the same fun formula that made the original fun.

Sure its a repackaging of the WiiU title, but with the booster packs coming out will make this the definitive Mario Kart game to date. If you like the series, you can’t go wrong with this one

First time purchasing a game system and my experience so far is OK nothing really great but my kids do enjoy it

I ended up getting the game because I never owned a Wii U to which I thought it would feel new and exciting. At the end the game was ok, enjoyable while having friends or family over but I don't think I have played it by myself a single time.

Honestly? Disappointed. The replay value on this game is next to none. I played it for a matter of 2 hours and was already bored with it.

This game is disappointing. It's the exact same game as the Wii U. The difference is I paid extra for the dlc for the expansion packs on the Wii U to get the additional characters. Double dash is still my favorite. Not the best mario kart
