Was able to play the original Mario Kart 8 without the DLC, and now playing the complete Switch version I can see just how much more they added. Lots of fun, especially with some friends.

Bottom Line: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is simplistic enough for young family members to play but has enough features and diversity to keep parents engaged. After doing a bit of research, I thought Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would be the perfect game to play with my five year old. The game is very accessible, since the easiest mode has auto accelerate and all small children have to worry about is steering (even this seems optional at times). The races are just about the right length to keep my daughter interested, and we’ve been having a lot of fun playing this game together.

This was a very good make of Mario Kart. I have been playing Mario Kart now since the N64 and this may be the best one yet. I've really enjoyed playing this game thus far.

Similar to the older Mario Kart games, this one lives up to the hype with all it has to offer. The battle modes are sick, and the difficulty level scales really nice from one cc to the next.

Yes, it is a port of the original, but the revamped battle mode to be more in line with previous versions of the franchise and the value of having portable Mario Kart in HD can not be understated.

Love this game! By keeping so many of the original ideas from when the game first came out years ago but adding the new age graphics, it's a perfect combination that took me right down memory lane

This was always a great game so the Switch updates make it even better. The graphics are updated but there are some familiar scenes you can race at, as well as new locales.

My 18 and 8 year old LOVE this game and compete after school ends. They are so into this. I even played a few games with them and enjoyed it!
