The game controls are easy to learn and maps/racetracks are always fun. You can use each of the joycons as a separate controller, up to 4 players per console. Additionally, the ability to buy more maps/racetracks in game. My kids love this game, and so do I.

The extra tracks being another cost seems like a money grab from nintendo- that I will likely succumb to. Definitely not necessary though!

A great remake
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you never had Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U then do not delay another second, you have to have this but what about those of us who do have it on the Wii U? And those like me who had bought all the DLC - can this remake still bring anything new? Yes, it does. The game looks even better, smoother, faster and comes with a few extra characters and a proper battle mode (the only issue with the Wii U version was the poor battle mode). A classic game just got even more classical
