I bought this for my wife and I to play, because I already had an Xbox and PlayStation, but I was skeptical. However, after playing it for more than a week now it has become one of our favorite games to go and play. We get competitive and we get silly, the car is crack us up in the characters are priceless. This game was knocked out of the park.

I spent a lot of time playing Mario Kart for the Nintendo DS, so moving on to this game was a huge upgrade. It is graphically impressive, and the gameplay is very solid. I love that additions while staying true to the mechanics of previous iterations. A very fun game to play with friends.

Great if you didnt get it on Wii U. Also nice to take on the go.

I originally thought this was just gonna be a plain old Mario kart game like the one I have on my wii but it’s so much fun. Needing coins to collect carts, gliders and wheels make me want to play even more. I love having the option to play with friends or people all over the world online.

One of my first picks because the multiplayer value is insane, and one of my favorites! 48 classic races from systems past and a few new ones to boot. It takes full advantage of the switch's online abilities to allow you to race others, or their ghost data, from around the world! Racing through the Hyrulian castle is fun and there's a few Animal Crossing themed courses! A whole new cast of available characters outside of just Mario and friends, including Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Legend of Zelda, and some I don't recognize. Additionally, Nintendo sent me an email with a special pc background for buying the game! It's really nice on my desktop though admittedly it's a little hard to see my icons now xD It's the same image from the game cover. Definitely a favorite--I spent all night playing and unlocking new cars and wheels and parachutes. So far I've won all the 50cc trophies but I'm going to need a while to get the 100cc ones.

When Mario kart 8 came out for Wii u I really wanted buy it but the lack of games for wii u stopped me. When I found out they were releasing an even better version of it for the switch I had to pick it up. This game does everything right. Note to those who have played Mario kart before, make sure you turn off auto steer or it will really mess you up.

Mario Kart 8 is an essential for Switch owners, but if you already own the game on Wii U, this doesn't add a ton. It basically includes the full game with all the DLC and I believe the battle modes are slightly better, but still very similar to the Wii U version. Great game, though, and one of my favorite Mario Kart games for sure.

The tight, understandable controls of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe really won it over for me as the best mario kart to date. An amazing time, especially with a crowd, and even more so with multiple switches in one room so everyone can pair up on a switch and play a full 12 player local multiplayer race or battle. Bright colors, fun tracks, and a wide array of characters make the game's level of replay-ability unimaginable. If you're like me, and get super competitive, you're wishes will be met with the superb online multiplayer which puts you against racers of similar skill level, and every game has your heart racing till the end. If you have a switch, this game is a must. And if you don't have a switch, games like Zelda, Shovel Knight, Super Bomberman R, Graceful Explosion Machine, Jackbox Party Pack 3, Fast RMX, Lego City Undercover, and World Of Goo should have convinced you this machine is capable of satisfying ANY type of persons play style. With tons of single player, multiplayer and party games alike, mario kart 8 deluxe only solidifies my confidence that buying a Nintendo switch was a great idea, because everyone in my household gets around the tv at least twice a day to play or watch the others. And laugh while doing so.

So fun! Extra levels with subscription. Never going easy on my son. He has to earn his wins.

This game is amazing. We bought 2 extra controllers so we can now play 4-player as a family. Even my 3-year-old can play along because of the assisted driving during the races. This is a game you buy the system for - lots of fun to be had learning how each character drivers and using the different vehicles and racing on different tracks.

The Deluxe Edition lives true to it's name. It has all your favorite tracks newly updated all the way from the SNES. It is a joy to play and the online experience is even better with plenty of support. If you have ever played Mario Kart or this is your first experience, this is a must have on the Switch!

So much fun. Feels just like the old ones. Great on the switch!

Well, I bought this one because I'm really well addicted to MK. I already had the Wii U version, so this one doesn't bring too much to the table. However, it's portable. I played this with my wife on the airport as we were making an international flight to Brazil and it was amazing! Everyone was staring at us and asking where I bought that.

Absolutely fantastic. Looks great, plays great and lots of fun.

This game is so much fun! Its perfect for our family game nights!

Now I didn't really look hard for the directions other than the button layout so if there is than disregard this and it pretend it's 5 stars. Alright knowing all the tricks like drifting and slipstream when behind others would liked to known how to properly do that.

If you like to race this is for you. I just sit back and let loose. I like to see how many other drivers I can knock off the road lol. My 5 year old recently beat me and I had to regroup myself and figure out how on Earth did Bowser controlled by a 5 year old could dust me? Anywho it's fun but I wish it had more courses.
