Every in the house plays plus it's portable! Amazing game!

It’s Mario Kart! Fun to play. But I can only win when my son is not playing against me.

I love Mario Kart 8. I originally rented it from Vintage Stock when it released on the Wii U to play with my cousins one weekend. However, I found I enjoyed the game so much I bought the copy I rented and never returned it. It is even better on the Switch -- especially since the battle mode on the Wii U was useless. I haven't played battle mode much on the Switch, but what little I've played is far more enjoyable than the Wii U version. If you've never played Mario Kart 8, own a Switch, and enjoy Mario Kart games, I highly recommend this game. However, if you've already sunk hours into the Wii U version, bought the DLC, and don't care about portability or battle mode, it isn't worth spending the $60 to re-purchase.

The family loves to play this game and having fun. It brings the kids together and they challenge eachother to whom can win and who thinks they are better at the game

It's Mario Kart. If you have played Mario Kart before, it has nothing unexpected: same basic gameplay and same basic fun. The most different thing is the fact that you don't need to buy an extra controller to get 2 player, which is the only way to really play this game. If you have any friends then this game is a must buy.

Honestly, there's not much more to say. It's Mario Kart, for the Switch. Plays exceptionally well - pick a character, build a cart from body, tires, and parachute (all of which affects handling/speed/acceleration/etc) race around the tracks and hope to win. Multiplayer is quick and simple to set up. Blue shells are a pain.

It’s Mario kart everyone. Most of the maps are remastered tracks from older versions of the game which is pretty cool. Not of fan of DLC content for games so having to pay extra for more tracks is a downside to me.

This game reminds me of playing Mario Kart on my SNES as a kid. While the graphics are updated. The main mechanics are the same and the character list is great. This is my first Nintendo game since the N64 and being able to play this with my little boy is one of the best things. Highly recommend this!

This game is very fun. There are a lot of different venues, all of which are greatly detailed and fun to pass through. There are various types of races as well as various speeds. You can play by yourself or online with friends. There are many different characters to choose form and you create your own car. I find it very enjoyable.

I'm a big fan of the series. I grew up with Mario and it's cool that my kids love it too. I like that the kids can play for an hour and put it away bc it's not a long role playing game. They keep entertained and will replay it over and over. They don't have to wait for their sibling to play with bc they can play with others online.

I do own the Wii U version of Mario Kart 8 with the DLC's and now Mario Kart 8 deluxe for the switch. Bringing back battle mode in the deluxe version does breathe new life this ported version. This one is a no-brainer to buy if you are new to Mario Kart 8 but it may be worth waiting for a price drop if you already own the Wii U version.

Great Game to play with friends and the challenges to unlock new characters are a fun twist. Definitely recommend getting the additional courses too!

I really enjoy Mario Kart 8 on Switch. It's been decades since I last played a Mario Kart game but this took me right back to my childhood. The game quality is great, tracks are a fun trip down memory lane, and it's challenging enough without being too difficult. And has constant replay value. Definitely recommend.
