One of the greatest games of all time. I play this with friends back east, with my girlfriend at home, and even just against the computer, always an awesome time!

This is our favorite game on Switch. I play it with my girls 8 and 5. The graphics are great and the tracks are pretty cool. We often play in 3 or 4 players mode and it’s a lot of fun.

It’s one of those games that I put off only because the new and exciting games that were coming out on the switch caught my eye a lotttt more. (S/O to Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Odyssey) But you can’t mess with a multiplayer classic. Between my dissappointment with how splatoon 2 does multiplayer (I can’t play with the person sitting next to me unless they also have a switch and a copy of the game!) and the need for extra joy con to play 2 players in arms (you can use the joy con that come with the system but only with a second set can you both punch it out) Mario karts’ ability to have up to four players with two sets of joy con is hard to beat. Bonus: a friend of mine and I realized that with 4 Nintendo switches + 4 copies of MK8 + 8 sets of joy con= a Grand Prix with no computers. Now that’s the dream.

Mario Kart 8 DX is the best Mario Kart to date. I have the Wii U version as well and was waiting for price drop, but ended up getting the game which came with the Steel Book. This game has a large selection of characters, which are unlocked from the beginning. But you have to play to unlock the big roster of karts, wheels, and gliders. The races are challenging, and if you're good, then you can skip the 50/100 cc grand prix modes, since doing 150 cc will just give you the same ranking for 50/100 cc tournaments. There are a total of 48 tracks, all available from the beginning. On the Switch you can play it anywhere. Must have for any Mario Kart fans.

Controls are somewhat different compared to previous versions if you've played on gamecube or wii but aren't bad once you get the hang of it. Definitely lots of fun to play and loved the use of courses from previous versions of the game.

This IS the best Mario Kart ever made from MANY view points. It is better than the Wii u version and that was the Definitive version ...UNTIL now. ...AND be able to play on the GO without it being a "3DS port" makes it even more appealing.

This game is timeless and just as fun as the originals. I love how it takes tracks from all of the different platforms. Game play is simple, even my 4 year old loves to play. Hours upon hours of enjoyment to be had with this game.

This is the best version of Mario Kart so far and it has more tracks than any of its previous iterations. Nice upgrades from the Wii U version include holding 2 items, improved UI to prevent running your kart off the tracks, and improved graphics. The game includes 48 tracks to race on and if you get the game pass the number of tracks will eventually double. With the game pass, new tracks will be released every couple of months until the end of 2023. It also plays well in hand held mode for an awesome mobile experience.

I bought this game on Wii U as well as the DLC for it and this game might just be a re-release of that content, but it's the definitive version of the game. It's the culmination of everything great about Mario Kart in a package that is portable.

I haven't had so much fun playing Mario Kart since double dash and before then MK64. The graphics are nice and the racing is fun and hectic. I purchased it on the Wii U and enjoy it even more on my Switch. Don't think, just buy!

Glad I purchased the deluxe edition because the extra characters are too awesome!! Purchased with the steering wheel and it was so much fun to play with the with fam!!!!

If you have a Switch this is a must have game I recommend Mario Kart it's so fun and it one of the only Switch games where online works. But it's a game from 2014 and it's been sold for a full $60.

Family Fun! Love that hubby and I can play with the kids (4 and 7). A little family competition with the kids first console video game has been a great experience.
