I've always been an MK64 fan through and through. Yes, I loved Double Dash, but the hours of battle I've played on block fort with most of my extended family takes the cake for Mario Kart fun for me. So to have a revamped battle mode in this update takes the original MK8 package from a passable entry to one of the best in the series. Couple that with the portability of the Switch and you really have the current pinnacle of what the series has always offered: simple, approachable, and varied fun.

This game is a blast for me and my fiancé to play, she isn’t a gamer but she loves playing this game and she’s a little too good at it lol, but all in all this game is so much fun and whether you want a huge challenge or a casual gamer you will have a great time playing this, the level design is top notch and to dat this is one of my favorite switch games, I love taking this to work and using the joycons as 2 controller and challenging co workers! Get it you won’t be disappointed!

I've been dealing with game systems since the beginning but I never was a serious gamer, just a few titles here and there that got me hooked. I've only owned one other nintendo system, which was a Nintendo DS, which I loved. I just picked up a Nintendo Switch and just this one game...Its so fun to race on these crazy tracks, and to be able to connect with other switch players while out and about. Pick this one up if nothing else. Of course when other games come out, check them out too.

I've been playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the go and it's really fun to just pickup and play. The multiplayer is fun as well.

This is the best kart racer in the series! Great graphics, lots of cool tracks and characters. My only gripe is that tracks are all unlocked so there's not much to earn. I get why they did it though, so wii u owners wouldn't have to go thru it all again. I don't think Mario kart fans will be disappointed with this edition!

This is by far the best mario kart yet. New characters, tracks and a fun battle mode that's way better than the Wii version.

This game is amazing! Definitely brings back memories of playing Mario Kart 7 on the 3DS and Mario Kart Wii.

Really good game to play with family and friends. The mechanics are very simple so even a 5 year old can play this. The maps are really nice and the pack with the old ones is even better really good game in my opinion.

A family favorite! I as a 31 year old year old mother of two enjoyed this game very much. A updated version of what I played as a kid! Lots of nostalgia when playing

The last Mario Kart I played was Mario Kart 64, so it's been a while... I like the graphics and different kart/player options. Also , the tracks are creative and the NPCs are challenging. Maybe I need to look around a little more, but it would be helpful if there was a controller guide - which buttons do what.

Game on its own is a 5 and includes the best mix of old and new tracks. The extra tracks being another cost seems like a money grab from nintendo- that I will likely succumb to. Definitely not necessary though!
