Great racing game, especially with a group! I have always been a huge fan of Mario Kart and this is a great time. I do have the original version of this game on the Wii U and this version is not only great on the go, but also somehow feels a little bit better! If your on the fence, take the jump. This should be a day one pick with your switch!

It is a classic and always one of my favorites to play. I would definitely pick it up if I were you.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an instant classic! Lots of tracks to race, so many characters to choose from, and enough game modes to keep you playing for hours and hours of fun. Do yourself a favor and buy this game!

Playing this game is extremely entertaining especially playing with friends and family. Only disappointing thing about this game is the fact that it's only a remastered version of the Wii U game thus it's not a total new Mario Kart game, so same levels and stuff. Enjoy! Marioooooo Kart Eighhhhhhht!! (You'll know what I mean)

Simply put, the best mario cart game ever made. I loved it on the Wii U, and love it on the switch. It's awesome having a real mario cart game with me on the road. The only thing I don't like, and I'm not sure if this is a setting I'm missing, but on the Wii U i pressed the A button to drive, on the switch it seems to drive on its own. I miss pressing A.

Best purchase I’ve ever made my kids really enjoy it

I love this game. I have been able to crank out tons of hours with it alone and with friends.

One of the best selling games of all time with good reason. My 5 year old can play with no special options on but my 2 year old can also play and feel like part of the fun with auto steer and drive. Great for the whole family.

So many different tracks new and old. Just to bad all new games make you buy more after spending so much already

This game gives you many options for playing like how many player either one through 4 or 5 and then gives you 8-10 different topics to choose for races and in those topics each has 4 different locations to game in. It has battle mode, 4 game race and versus choice of style of game. My entire family has played it for game night from kids aged 8 though 60.

Much like how Zelda BotW should be recommend to anyone who owns a Switch, this game also is an amazing addition for single and multiplayer. I already owned this game, but bought it for my wife so she could play it on her own screen. Glad I did, already have had hours of fun together. Many characters and vehicles to choose from

Although this version is pretty identical to the Wii U version, it adds a lot of little nice changes that I feel that are worth purchasing if you had previously owned this game. You had the addition of a few new racers, the change in gameplay by allowing the player to hold two items at once, the Boo item making its return from MK64, the addition of smart steering and auto accleration to allow newcomers to play with series veterans, a solid 60FPS as opposed to the 59FPS on the WiiU, 1080p HD graphics when the console is docked/ 720p HD when the console is undocked as opposed to the native 720p HD on the WiiU, and of course the big addition, a much needed fixed up battle mode with 5 new courses and 3 retro courses with 5 different modes: Classic Battle, Bob-Omb Battle, Shine Thief, Coin Runners, and Renegade Round-up (essentially cops and robbers). I can't say if this buy is for everyone because I know people see it as buying the same game again, but I feel personally it has added enough to make it worth buying and it definitely stands out as the definitive version of this game. And for anyone who has yet to own this game in any form, I'd highly, highly recommend buying as this is easily one of the best Mario Karts Nintendo has put out.

I've been a fan of Mario Kart since the Super Nintendo and it looks absolutely gorgeous on the Switch. I love the fact you can play it on you TV but love being able to take it on the go. 200cc is blistering fast and keeps it a challenge for the mature player while the 50cc is great for a beginner and my 6 year old niece can easily win those races.

Great game - my wife and I have so much fun playing. We also play long distance with our son and daughter-in-law - we live east coast and they are Rocky Mountains. Visuals and game play are excellent. The MANY different tracks are excellent.

This is one of my favorite game! The controls are responsive. The gameplay is competitive. The game is very colorful and fun. My son can play this for days. The only issue is with the controller when you’re playing 2 players as it can be a bit small. A recommendation is to get the wheel accessory that makes it more comfortable in the hands.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the very best that Mario Kart has to offer. It is the culmination of trials and errors and feels right at home on the Switch. This is a must have for anyone who likes multiplayer games or likes to play with others frequently. All the characters and maps are available from the get go (including DLC content) and are sufficiently varied and plentiful. The only thing you have to unlock are vehicle parts that unlock from collecting coins as you race. It's simple and straightforward. There are options to make it easier to play for young children or novices, such as auto-acceleration (exactly as it sounds) and smart-steering (no falling off the race track). The mechanics are standard Mario Kart fare that if you're fan, you probably already know by now. Overall, it's as a complete package as you can get in an age where you pay for every little bit of extra of content.

Probably best multiplayer game on the switch along with Smash Bros. Spent most of my time playing Mario Kart with 30+ games in the collection. Just an easy game to pick up at anytime anywhere and with anyone. My favorite Mario Kart since Mario Kart 64. Definitely worth it

Mario Kart 8 is most likely the funnest game on the market today. The features are what they are but where this game shines very bright is on the track. It's just pure fun. MK8 strikes that perfect formula of a game where it is easy enough for a complete newbie but difficult to truly expert. Very few games do that, and MK8 might do it the best!
