This game is a port of the original game that appeared on the Nintendo Wii U. In addition to having all the features of the original, this game now includes all the DLC from the original for free. Plus, there's a few new carts and characters to play as. In addition, the Battle Mode is much better than what is was in the Wii U version, featuring unique battle courses over just reusing racing tracks. Although one minor complaint is that there's no new stages, but that's fine since the base game already has so many. This game is perfect for anyone who never got to experience that Wii U version and want a nice racing game with mayhem and chaos at every turn. The online mode is fun as you show your racing skills around the world. Overall, this was a great purchase.

If you somehow missed MK8 on the Wii-U, this is absolutely a must own. All of that zany, fast moving fun is here, making it the best MK game of the series! If you already own it, I can still recommend it if you have the money to burn, as it adds the DLC and additional content, and it's portable!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is better than the original. Nintendo has taken an already amazing game and added new features to accentuate its already amazing game and removed issues that existed with the original. A new boost drift, redesigned battle mode, and all characters unlocked name just a few. Amazing!

This game has really wild and fun courses, a lot of characters and cars to choose from, and great multiplayer.

This is hands down the best version of Mario kart 8 that you can get. I love bringing this game around with me and playing a game against my friends on the go. The new characters added to this game are also amazing. I bought this on the Wii U and double dipping was no problem for me and this game.

If you missed out on mario kart on the wii u, this is a must buy. Even if you have played it on the wii u, you have to get it on switch. Plenty of playable characters and challengin tracks. Online have been a great experience as well. So far match pair has been quick and no lag during online play.

I made the the jump from the Wii to the Switch and I knew I had to have this game. I have been playing Mario Kart since N64; Nintendo continues to amaze me with ingenuity they display when coming out with new twists on the original game. The graphics were so crisp without hurting my eyes. It was nice to not have to unlock characters. (Punishing players for preferring certain aspects of the game was not appreciated. example: time trials) The new battle modes were refreshing and fun! My family loves the additional options to the replay mode. And as usual the stages are a lovely mix of old and new. The old stages have been given new depth because of the updated challenges and modifications. On a final note, they have added smart steering that will keep you from falling off the course. This is good for younger players that may not have the dexterity needed to play. Seasoned players might find it annoying as it may keep you from using shortcuts which require you to go off the course, luckily you can turn it on and off.

I've been playing racing games for a long time, especially Mario Kart ones. This is the best one I've played, which says a lot. It controls very smoothly, the tracks are fun and original. And overall, it's just so fun to play. Me and my wife have a blast, and she doesn't regularly play video games.

Mario Kart has always been a childhood favorite and so playing again brings back memories. Highly recommend!!

Fun Game. I used to play Mario Kart DS a lot as a kid so this game is a total upgrade definitely recommend.

This is by far the best iteration of Spider-Man yet. Insomniac knocked it out of the park! They took the best of Spider-Man 2 and then added so much more. The only thing that wore on me was some of the side stuff. Outside of that, it's a game that every PS4 owner should have.

Mario Kart was probably one of my favorite series back in the day on Super Nintendo and 64. Now I'm an adult and... I still enjoy it! This is the type of game made for couch play with friends and family. So if you have children or friends to play with, this is a must buy for the Switch.

I waited a long time to get this game. I absolutely love it! The graphics are great. It has tons of racing options and can race with friends or alone. The tracks are really cool and on the switch the colors come alive.

We bought this as a game to add to my nieces switch console and it has been a blast. It is super fun and I love that we can all play together while competing against each other. Mario is such a classic that it allows the adults to also bring back some childhood memories.

This is really the definitive version of Mario Kart, and my favorite of the series all the way since Double Dash back on the Gamecube. It's a slightly updated version of MK8 for Wii U but with some new characters, maps, and the amazing ability to play on the go on the Switch.

This game is so fun and anyone can pick up this game and play it. You can pick up and play a short game or play a whole tournament. Also, the online play is competitive and make you want to hone your skills to master the tracks.
