It is a lot of fun to play this game with family as 4 can play at a time. Kids enjoyed it a lot

If you played it on the Wii U, this is the same version with DLC and a little boost to the visuals. It's still impressive and fun, and your whole family can play it for hours. There is a lot of content packed into the highly polished game, and the core gameplay is still fantastic. The versus mode is still not great, but the entire package is definitely worth the price.

The perfect game to pick up ad put down, or invest dozens of hours in. There is a reason this thing has sold the millions of copies it has sold. Great all encompassing Mario Kart experience.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the "Deluxe" nomenclature, this game is a slightly tweaked and improved version of the previously released Mario Kart 8, with all of the DLC and unlockables given to you right out of the box. While this seems like a generous package of content to enjoy, it does get a little boring after a while to not have anything to unlock aside from the golden Mario skin. All in all, this is still a great party game for children and adults of any age to enjoy, and the online multiplayer is a nice way to kill time if you feel competitive. As for the improvements made to the Switch version, the graphics in this game look amazing, and the controls and audio are all top-notch. However, if you're a new Switch owner, I would definitely recommend getting more than just this game to start with, as it can get old pretty fast, especially if you're playing single player games.

I do not think my kids have put this game down since purchase. Graphics are decent, gameplay is fun, easy enough for any one to play.

I haven’t played Mario Kart since when I had the version for the Nintendo DS. Very reminiscent, and a lot of fun. Not very internet heavy when playing online, which is a huge plus if you have sub par internet like I do. I love racing games and this puts a fun twist on it, where drifts, items, and jumps can all change the race in the blink of an eye. Even when you lose, it’s with a smile. Such a fun game!

Superb game! The graphic on Mario Kart Deluxe 8 is fabulous! For folks who are familiar with how to play the game, as it doesn't come with game play instructions would be to watch a game play video on YouTube. I was surprised that Nintendo assumes folks, adults and kids will figure out what to do with gold coins and bonus items to throw. Once you figure it all out, the game is a blast!! Purchase and enjoy!!!

We actually purchased this game twice because my toddler threw out or lost the first one but it is so worth it! Everyone in the family can enjoy this game solo or together. It definitely brings back MY childhood memories and I'm grateful that I can now share it with my son.

Mario Kart 8 is the best kart racing game Nintendo has made in a long time. It strikes a careful balance between refining old ideas while introducing fresh new ones. Admittedly, its gorgeous graphics and jazzy orchestrated soundtrack bolster its presentation, but you’re getting a lot more than just looks with this one – although I spent an awful lot of time gawking at the details in slow-motion, the fast and furious pace of racing with friends both locally and online is what really kept me coming back

I have had so much fun playing this game with family and friends, well the friends that are able to put up with my rants after playing Mario Kart. Trying to get 3 stars on everything is fun and the 200cc is challenging and has been the cause of many rage fits.I bought this game on the Wii U and never got the dlc and this version comes with all the dlc and was worth the repurchase to play on the switch. The extra battle options have provided countless hours of fun with the family and friends. Great game overall.

This game has all the elements of classic Mario Kart with fun upgrades. I love the classic tracks as well as the new ones.

sure it isn't a "sim" racing experience... but it's the most fun. the game actually takes strategy and skill. lots of characters to choose from, plenty of tracks, runs soooooo smooth on the switch too. i owned the wii u version as well... this is the same game (sort of) all the dlc is available for free... slightly better graphics, and a much much smoother experience the switch has a beautiful screen btw...

Great game, you cannot beat the Mario games. So nice to not only play this, but to be able to carry this around with you and get it out to play, anywhere, on the bis, waiting in a queue, while your mum is shopping. All the fun of mario kart, anywhere anytime.
