All the great features on Mario Kart but truly mobile and performing amazing. Great for at home co op couch play, or long flights/rides.

A fantastic time all around. Whether you have friends to enjoy this game with you or not, there is plenty to do in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Everything that made the Wii U original game great is present here (as it is a boosted port) and the amount of content and gameplay is sure to have you coming back time and time again. Paired with the easy accessibility of the Switch and the simple controls, this game is a perfect fit for the casual or hardcore gamer, and potentially the most accessible and fun the Mario Kart series has ever been. My favorite feature personally has been the worldwide online races, where 12 people from all around the globe race against one another on tracks voted on by the players. Not to mention the various other modes to keep you entertained both offline and online. If you're looking for games to add to your Switch collection or picking one up for the first time, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an amazing game through and through.

Obviously a must have for switch. Someone in your family will love it most likely all. It's been a blast since the fist one and is even better now. Great fun in the same room with friends and even more online.

Very fun game to play both online and against the computer. 48 tracks makes for a lot of variety. My only complaint is that there are not any unlockable characters or tracks. But there are unlockable karts, wheels, and wings.

This xmas was awesome! The process was smooth. Order online, get email confirmation, and pick up within an hour. The service was on point and the game was a blast. my kids and i are having family fun with this game! my 7 year old son is ecstatic, my 11 year old daughter is having fun showing her skills, and i can barely keep up with them. The parental controls are absolutely the best way to limit the daily screentime. since the switch games are so much fun they don't mind using up their time today and then coming back for more tomorrow. i like that they can still have time to read, write, draw, and play. i think it was a superdad wise choice to get this switch!

I bought this for our daughter, and she loves it! We would recommend this game to anyone, as it is full of many levels of play. There are a lot of the Nintendo characters and many options for the vehicles.

Coming from the Nintendo Wii's Mario Kart 7, the game is graphically stunning, and there are a variety of new, exciting, and gorgeous tracks with plenty of shortcuts. There are some classic tracks as well as newer ones. There are many options to customize your vehicle (e.g., parachute, wheels). Vehicle customization affects the acceleration, weight, handling, traction, and speed of the vehicle. All of the characters come unlocked, but you can unlock vehicles, parachutes, and wheels by collecting coins throughout the game. Interestingly, there is 200cc, which speeds up the track, so breaking technique is involved. Gameplay: I immediately noticed that MK8D requires a lot of drifting, which is different from MK7 Wii, where drifting is optional. I found it to be more easy to get bumped off the track by heavier players. Unfortunately, some of the boost items (the golden mushroom and star) give you less speed than they used to. The benefit to the star in MK8D is its invincibility, which is a great advantage considering that players can hold up to two items. The green turtles are much more likely to hit you, are much faster, and can bounce off walls. Getting a coin in first place is often frustrating as it is not a defensive item; however, collecting coins increase your speed. Why I Stopped Playing: The item balance is terrible. Even though Nintendo added cool, new items, such as the fire flower, boomerang, ghost, piranha plant, super horn, and the crazy eight, the item balance made the game unbearable for me. Not only can players hold two items but green turtles are faster and have better aim; there are fireballs that can bounce off walls and hit you; the boomerangs can hit you when thrown forward or when it comes back to the player; and you can get hit by a blue shell traveling on the ground. There are not always warnings for these items either; they can come out of nowhere. The game would be perfect if Nintendo rebalanced the items.

Mario Kart for Switch is awesome! Much better than Mario Kart Wii. It has so many more characters, gameplay options, and vehicles! Also you can either drive with motion controls, or the joy stick. One of my favorite Switch games!

mario kart was one of the first games I fell in love with and mario kart 8 has taken it to the next level. So many tracks with many classics remastered and brought back. A+

My 12 year old daughter ask for this game. When I purchased it I didn’t realize the whole family would get addicted. After the 1st night I had to buy 2 additional controllers so we could all play together. We’ve been playing at least 3 nights a week since.

Great game with lots of fun maps, cars and characters to try out. Fun for multiple players to be able to play at once with additional controllers. A bit pricey, but fun for all ages.

Well worth the price. It is a great family game that can even be enjoyed with little ones. There is a feature where the karts will drive themselves if you have little ones who want to participate but don't have the coordination for games. A wide selection of characters and vehicles keep little ones excited and the colors and graphics keep them engaged.

Multiple players great game has tracks from previous mario karts like 64 and 3ds love that you can sit down withe my husband and children and play together eather on teams or race each other.

i could play Mario Kart forever. Always fun and competitive. ONly thing is it's a repeat of the wii u (for the most part). WIsh there was more to unlock or something that was slightly different.
