The best Mario Kart package

Yes, I loved Double Dash, but the hours of battle I've played on block fort with most of my extended family takes the cake for Mario Kart fun for me. So to have a revamped battle mode in this update takes the original MK8 package from a passable entry to one of the best in the series. Couple that with the portability of the Switch and you really have the current pinnacle of what the series has always offered: simple, approachable, and varied fun.

Very fun on the go

Upgraded Mario kart fun

It's the best selling game on the Switch for a reason. Even if you don't have a friend around to play with, it's still fun playing against the computer (especially on 150cc). There's so much content, DLC from the Wii u version comes ready from the start. This game gives you a lot of bang for your buck and it's worth picking up.
