Bought this item as a Christmas gift for a friend that loves Mario games. He was beyond happy with it.

A staple that all Switch owners should have in their library.

This edition is pretty great even though nothing with ever top the N64 version. The cool part os obviously better graphics, more racers, more tracks (some throwback tracks which is fun), and I’d say a lot more user friendly for non gamers. My 7 year old is pretty good and my 4 year old can at least hang without getting too frustrated. All in all its a solid purchase and gets a lot of play.

Bought this game for my grandson’s 10th birthday. He loves it and his older sister who is 16 likes to play with him with it. It seems like it helped bring them together. I’m very satisfied.

Mario Kart 8 is the best Mario Kart to date! The customization options available are endless along with a character roster big enough for everyone. This game took all of the things that made Mario Kart great and made them even better! This is hands down a must buy for every Nintendo Switch owner!

One of the best games for switch. Friends and family and I have hours of fun playing it. Great gift idea.

My son is 5 years old and this is a great game for his age group, as well as his sister who is 12, and my husband. They love playing this game and normally play with the Nintendo Switch Steering Wheel we bought to go with this game.

Mario cart had been a favorite for me since I was younger and it keeps getting better!

This was a gift for a grandson and he absolutely loves it !! He is so into video games but he’s only allowed 2 hours a day to play. This is his go to game. He is 6 years old but on a 9 year old level in school. Good game for any age !!

Our grandkids have this game and play it all the time. So, when we bought a Switch, we bought this game. We love being able to play together, especially with our grandkids. And, there's more to this game than just picking a driver and car, if you're up against the parents of the grandkids! ;-)

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this game. Must buy for any switch owner. Such a fun game to play solo or with people you know or don’t know. I can grind it for hours or play for 15 mins and get enjoyment out of it.

I LOVE Mario Kart, and have since playing on the Wii (I don't go that far back with Nintendo). Maps are fun, lots of customization options for just the right driving experience. Lots of challenge to keep you coming back. Multiplayer is awesome.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an astounding, fast paced, great game for anyone who loves to kart race. Like who hasn’t heard of Mario Kart? Yes, it’s 4 players, and yes you need 4 joy-cons, so no other controllers would be compatible. Only JOY-CONS.

Everytime I play Mario Kart I feel like a kid again. Mario Kart 8 still has all the good feels, and great graphics to boot. Different controller configurations are super cool too for steering with a remote or using the handheld.

Out of the 4 games I bought my 7 year old daughter she plays her Mario kart the most and it was the last game she opened up I almost exchanged it but I’m glad I didn’t because she loves it

As someone who's had fond memories of playing with friends on Mario Kart 64, this game is fantastic. Definitely sets the bar for the Mario Kart franchise. Has an excellent array of both new and old maps from the series. It boasts a fairly large character roster and the ability to customize karts to a (somewhat limited) degree. It can definitely get difficult at the higher levels against the cpu for those of you looking for a challenge. But for kids or newcomers who may find it daunting to control, the game has handicap options that will literally steer the kart for you, preventing you from driving off the map, and auto accelerating for you. So for those parents who would like to play with their kids, its an amazing game. It does have online races, but as I usually play with a group of friends on the couch, I can't attest to how that functions. However, as far as games go on the Switch, this is a great testament to the quality and polish Nintendo is capable of.

I have been playing this non-stop since I bought it. Really fun game and easy to pick up. Free online matches only add to the fun. Though for the life of me I can't understand how some of these people on the online matches get to the front so fast. Anyway, a fun game that I have yet to grow tired of.
