This version of Mario Kart 8 is the definitive edition. It's loaded with tracks and characters with still some things to unlock and customize. Best of all, battle mode is back! This is a must own for any Nintendo Switch owners.

Whilst I can understand why Wii U users may feel disappointed looking at the price of this game, in my opinion it's still worth it. The game is great and still extremely fun on the Switch. It's a must have for the Switch.

This is such a good mobile console for your children.

If you have never played the original Mario kart 8, then this deluxe version is the version for you, as it has all characters, including the Wii U DLC, and new characters from the start, plus a brand new battle mode. As someone who had already played Mario kart 8 extensively, Mario kart 8 deluxe is fun, but doesn't add much else to the table from the original. I only put in 25 hours before it's novelty wore off. I can't say it's a must buy for people who already played through the original Wii U version.

Its Mario Kart 8 on the go! How can you go wrong with this? It is basically the Wii U version with all the DLC and a few very minor changes. I hope they get us some extra DLC, but its worth the money just to have it portable!

Amazing graphics. Very cute charm. And plenty of characters and race categories to choose from this is an absolute must own. I play this with my 4 year old daughter and she loves it.

Fun game for all ages, some of the courses need to be paid for as you get further into the game.

I get all my Switch games at Best Buy. Mario cart is a game that I've always enjoyed while playing with family and friends. This one has a lot of characters and stages. All the previous DLCs. Also, new fun battle modes :)

Great game! It has a lot of tracks, characters, and vehicles to choose from. You can customize the different karts/cars. Just a lot of fun in every way imaginable, even more fun with friends and family.

This game is so fun! I played Mario Kart when I was a kid and every version of this game since it came out! I have played this game out over the years! I’ve gotten my kids and husband addicted to. It’s good natured fun and easy yet challenging enough for many ages. It makes for fun car travel and light nights at home.

Mario Kart 8 is a great game to play alone or with friends. You will never get bored of its different game modes when you play by yourself and its fun to compete with friends. Its also great for children and family

Haven't bought the last couple Mario Karts just becasue we haven't bought a Nintendo console in a few years since we've been focusing on xbox and pc gaming in the house. This game brings back memories of previous versions with a new fit and finish that makes it our go-to game on the switch so far. Like I said - can't compare it to the Wii version but I've heard it's similar. It's got great graphics, smooth gameplay, all of the characters you remember and updated versions of tracks from previous incarnations of Mario Kart from older consoles. All of the characters and levels are unlocked out of the box with only the vehicle modifications needing to be unlocked along the way. Great way to kill some time and super enjoyable overall. Great game.

Very fun multi player game. Best feature is changing different maps and characters. Love the part as one start collecting coins its more fun using them

I didn't have the WiiU so this was my first try at this version. It looks great and is so much fun. I play with my 6 and 8 year old and we have a great time going head to head and trying to win as a team. Highly recommend.

Fun party game! I just wish nearly everything wasn’t already unlocked. There’s essentially no story and no motivation to keep grinding in the game!

Mario Kart 8 is one of the best racing games around and this Switch version improves upon it. The added battle mode is something that should have been in the original and is as hectic and addictive as ever. However, the biggest improvement to me is being able to play the game on the go. Playing solo on the Switch's gorgeous screen is awesome but being able to pull the Joycons out and have a quick multiplayer session has been a dream come true. It's always been a bummer on past portable games that they required both people to have the system in order to have multiplayer but the Switch's design has now allowed you to past the time with a friend or friendly stranger. And what better pick up and play game is there to share than Mario Kart? Definitely recommended.

Way better steering than the previous versions. Easy for kids fun for adults. Love that all the characters and tracks are unlocked from the start.

This game's crazy fun racing mayhem, and the new auto-steering/acceleration makes it even easier for newcomers to pick it up. It's better with friends, but if you're self-motivated, there's plenty to do on your own too.

I didn't think I was going to get this one - I already have the Wii U version. But my son really really wanted it and he was right; this is the definitive Mario Kart that should be a part of everyone's Switch collection.

My grand daughter got me hooked on this game . In the beginning she would mop up the floor with me . I now own her and her brothers and sister . I purchased this game for my niece 9 ( another victim ) .
