Awesome game with lots of modes, characters and tracks. Anybody that's a fan of any of the previous Mario Kart games will love this game

Mario Kart is a classic Nintendo game series. I've played every single entry of the series from the SNES to N64 to GCN to Wii to Wii U to Switch. I've also played the handheld entries of the series. This version of the game for Switch is basically the most current and up-to-date entry. It includes many different characters and race tracks to choose from. On the Switch, you can race with others locally via split screen or online. Honestly, it's a Mario Kart game. It's tons of fun, even playing single player mode.

If you have ever played MarioXart you'll automatically know and love this game. I havent found anything new and oustanding about the difference but this is great being portable now and able to just pop in and play immediately. I was even able to play with 4 people on the little screen during a break at work which was hilarious on the little screen and all of us crowding over each other and bumping elbows. Should have come out when the switch was released but worth the wait. If you have a switch... get this game.

Better tracks than old school and of course better graphics. Love as much as the old school with new twist and characters

When I first got it, I played it practically all the time about. I got into it, especially with the online membership. It's a fun, addictive game that you should play. You don't need the online membership as you can play against the computer. My favorite course is the Zelda course. Nintendo just keeps adding courses! This game you can play forever and still have a fun time.

Excellent game! Nice graphics and smooth gameplay. The kids enjoy customizing their rides and experiencing the immersive environment of each race track. Great for parties and family game time!

What more can you say about Mario Kart 8 deluxe? Infinite replay value and is a recipe for a good time. Game has many modes and will take some time for people to master it. Easy to play, hard to master is the reason why this game stood the test of time.

Super Mario Kart was probably my first video game ever so please pardon my bias but Mario Kart is Nintendo's best franchise and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best in the franchise. It provides hours of fun whether you play with friends/family on the same couch, gamers across the world online, or by yourself against the computer. Sure, it's nearly the same game as the one on the Wii U, but it's worth getting the Switch version so that you can play it on the go. Great for kids and kids at heart!

My aunt had this game on the Wii (non deluxe version) and we knew about the Mario Kart games, but I've played these games for years and loved this game. I wasn't any less disappointed in the Switch version. This is a core game I 100% recommend grabbing and is great fun with a group of 4 to play. The options to help beginners/younger players make it less frustrating and more fun for everyone to play as well. I couldn't recommend a console game on any platform more than I do this game..

I've grown up on this game and this version is keeping it fun! Good stuff, lots of tracks car upgrades and characters.

Great game, kids and adults have a lot of fun with it. It came in a small card, very easy to install in the Nintendo console.

Wow this is a fun game for the kids in the family as well as the adults. Easy to set up for almost any age and jump right in. Kids will love the cartoony characters and courses, adults who don't even like games will find themselves acting very competitive after just one race. Cannot recommend enough for a household who is looking for some together fun.

The switch version of MK is nearly identical to the WiiU- the tracks and graphics are great & visually incredible. The only gripe my husband and I have is playing with the tiny switch controllers... we've adjusted the settings to disable the tilt/other auto functions to improve our experience. In the end, I think we might invest in a pro controller or the wheel apparatus to play more comfortably. However, I have to say that the game itself is fun & family friendly!

Love this game. Actually received the game before the console came in. We enjoyed previous Mario Kart games on Wii and this takes it a step further (though it has some of the old courses also). We play in our house and have played it online against random people as well as directly with our daughter in Taiwan. Easy to learn, but also fun to try and master. Highly recommend.

Love the game, can spend hours trying to pass 220k...Also love the battle more and the different types of battle modes available. Theirs tons of tracks (old and new), characters and cars to choose from. I had this item delivered and missed the delivery, but got in contact w ith the delivery person and they came back and dropped it of. overall nice experience.

We have mariokart 8 for the wiiU but my husband wanted to get a switch before the christmas rush, so I grabbed a copy of mariokart 8 deluxe and am very happy with it. The graphics are great, and the portability is excellent. Playing with one other person while we're waiting for an event to start, and then being able to pause the game and finish it later is fantastic. Probably would be difficult to play more than two people unless you plugged into a TV.

Before I get into my personal opinion I'd like to address the questions I had before buying. Hopefully it will help somebody. What's the difference between the Wii u version and the switch version? The switch version has everything the Wii u version has plus... New battle mode courses, new characters, up to 8 player local wireless multiplayer, an optional smart steering feature that helps new players stay on track, more items and characters can now carry two items at a time. How is the deluxe version any different? Deluxe is compatible with Animal Crossing and Splatoon amiibo. In my opinion the best part is the deluxe version includes all the DLC from the Wii U version. Who doesn't want a Mercedes kart? ;) Now that I got that out of the way onto my personal opinion. I never thought I'd like any Mario Kart game as much as I like Mario Kart 64. Then I reluctantly purchased this title. I'm pleasantly surprised! This is so much fun to play with my friends, family and on my own. It's a beautiful fresh spin on a classic series, done properly. Everything from the variety of characters and revamped battle mode to the beautiful graphics. It's what the Wii u version should have been. Experiencing battle mode with GameCubes Luigi's Mansion, SNES Battle Course 1 and the boo item struck me with nostalgia. Fresh enough for my nephews and nostalgic enough for me. I highly recommend this game for all ages. My elderly father and young nephews enjoy it equally. That speaks volumes.
