This game is great for everyone. Lots of characters to choose and lots of tracks and vehicles.

There are enough upgrades here (including the ability to take it with you wherever you go) to make it worth a second look even if you own the Wii U version. And for those who never played MK8, it's an absolute must buy. The best racing the series has ever seen, tons of characters and tracks, revamped battle modes, two items at once, new modes for beginners to join in the fun, and more. Most fun I've had on the Switch after Zelda.

Mario Kart isn't feeding you a big story; it's not breaking new ground on the Internet with multiplayer; it's not the best racing game. It's just the easiest game to pick up, have fun, with a room full of people. It's easy to learn, tough to master, with various karts, wheels, gliders - all of which affect kart stats, as does rider weight - throwing shells, dropping bananas, shooting lightning bolts. And it's crazy crazy fun.

I have put off getting this game because I didn't see it as a big enough upgrade from Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U. Well there are some subtile upgrades within the game that keep things interesting. The biggest positive you will notice is the improved graphics detail you get since this is a title for the Nintendo Switch. I think this game is overpriced but it is one that we will have and play with the family for years.

Really fun game for family and friends! Or even playing solo online is fun, but beware it’s a lot harder playing online. You will struggle at first but along the way it’ll get a lot easier ! And will have fun with the kids! I rate the game 9/10 overall, it’s really fun, a lot of courses, maps, characters, customization etc.

For those who loved MK on the Wii you will love this and see a huge upgrade. The new courses are great, the computer is much more challenging now and it's even more fun for kids because going off the road is a lot harder in this version. The graphics are awesome and design is top notch. I haven't done the online multiplayer so can't comment there.

The switch is easily the best experience to play Mario Kart on, and the deluxe version of Mario Kart 8 adds just enough new content to keep you entertained. I recently had car maintenance done, and brought my switch with me to the waiting room. It was awesome being able to play a full fledged console game on the go. This game is also fantastic online, especially if you can get a good amount of friends in a private room.

Mario Kart 8 is an AMAZING game. Does it need any improvement gameplay wise? Nope. But what if you make it a portable game that you can take with you almost anywhere you go? THAT is the game changer. All the DLC from the Wii U is already packed in here so you have extra content to play with. And yeah, just get this game if you don't have it and play along or with your friend(s). You'll always have a good time.

This review is based on viewing only as my son hasn't given up the controller to allow me to play myself. This is his new favorite game (obsession, more like) and would spend hours playing it if I let him. There are many characters to choose from in different vehicles. The best part are the scenes available...very cool graphics and cleverly designed landscapes for races. Definitely a go-to for the Switch!

Great game. However, it was a great game when it came out the first time, on the wiiU. Not sure why Nintendo jacked people up another 59.99 for exactly the same game. But it is the best Mariokart game in the franchise. It's probably tied with Zelda as the best Switch game as of yet. -But if you have it for wiiU already, and you still play your wiiU, I wouldn't buy this for Switch (unless portability is a must)

I have never had a Nintendo System and this is the first time that my son and I played the game. We have done 2 hours but you can tell this game is going to be played for months. It has more than 40 different tracks, more than 30 characters. It also incorporate an automatic system for little kids. It is just perfect for family time. I can't be happier of this purchase. A total masterpiece of video game entertainment.

Whether this is your first time playing Mario Kart, or if you’ve been playing t your whole life, this is the ultimate Mario Kart experience. Playing with friends is a lot of fun. Online play is really smooth. The extra characters from Zelda and Splatoon really spice things up and hint toward the possible future of this amazing franchise. Don’t miss out in this one! It’s a must-own for every Switch owner!

I'm not especially good at racing games but I love playing Mario Kart. Its so much fun with all the different items you can use that change the tides of the game. With new characters and maps, and being able to play on the go, this game feels at home on the switch

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe brings all the fun from Mario Kart 8 and all the extra DLC to the switch. It's an extremely fun and great racing game for individuals of all ages to simply pick it up and play. The ability to bring it and play it on the go with the switch makes this a no brainer even for those who are not long time fans of the Mario Kart series. I highly recommend this game to anyone with a Switch.

I love this game! My kids and I used to play Mario Kart years ago, and this brings back many pleasant memories. Not to mention, it is just a fun game for the whole family. I was hoping it was like the original game and it is. My favorite characters are all there, and the games keep us entertained.
