Full HD Mariokart on the go? Yes Please! The last time I played Mariokart was on the 3DS. This is so much better. I never played the Wii U version, so it was a real eye opener. The tracks have so much detail and having them in high definition is totally immersive. With all of the characters unlocked right off the bat, I could jump right in and choose what I wanted without any DLC. Probably the best part is local multi-player. That is how this game was meant to be played. There's nothing like split screening with friends. Multiplayer off the television was so difficult on the 3DS. But now with the switch, I can play with friends on the spot. It's a perfect fit for the platform. This is a staple if you own the Switch. It is great for quick games while you're waiting on the bus, or you need a quick break from work. the fact that the races last just 3 minutes makes it super easy to sneak in a quick game!

Only reason its 4 stars is due to lack of voice chat without app (more switch itself problem tbh) and its a re release for $60. I bought and played it alot for wii u and its dlc. Def still worth double dip if you can get a sale or trade in credit or BB rewards (latter 2 I did) lol or if you never got dlc/ really want it for portability specifically. Otherwise seriously awesome game!! Def worth retail price if first foray into this game. Perfect multiplayer and super quick jump in/jump out casual play on the go or before bed etc. Highly recommend

Fun and great game, it has 2-player online and up to 4-player split screen. Playing 150cc is fair, but when playing 200cc you're going to need to practice and have lots of luck.

I was never into racing games but with the release of Mario kart 8, I felt that I needed to try it out. I was glad I did and was able to enjoy all the characters, maps, and carts. There is always something that you will like in the game.

By far the best Mario kart. Tons of characters and courses. Looks amazing, runs at 60 frames and has 4 player split screen. You do need 4 controllers if you want to play 4 player but totally worth it. A must buy for every Switch owner.

Best version of Mario Kart released to date. Offers all of the content from vanilla Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, but also includes all of the DLC, new characters and a new battle mode. Must own for any fan of Mario Kart. Great for casual and experienced players alike.

Love this game! Fun-spirited game suitable for all ages! Love the new tracks as well as some of the classics from previous systems. If you’re looking for the next Forza, this isn’t it, but if you’re looking for just a fun, exciting game, this is it!

I'm a kid at heart when it comes tto this particular game it's the altamite game to play and I love this time of year Christmas brings me great cheer and a big smile for mario delux cart.

You can say that the biggest reason for getting a switch was for this game and it does not disappoint. It’s very entertaining and creates a friendly environment to compete against friends or family. Tons of modes and tracks and characters....it’s awesome!!

I had bought this for my 5yr old grandson to play. He loves it. What's better is that my oldest children in their 20's were absolutely excited to see all the scenes and races from older versions of Mario Kart. Good graphics. Easy to play and very entertaining.

I am a huge Mario Kart fan and this is one of the best iterations of the game on any Nintendo console. It is really accessible for newcomers and offers depth and challenge for veterans. You can play four players on one TV and four joy-con, and the assistant modes even allow my three year old to have a little bit of fun and actually control. I'm a bit disappointed in the $60 price-point since I already purchased the original. This version includes all the DLC, 8 new courses, but most "Game of the Year" editions are $20-$30, not the full $60 asking price. That's Nintendo.

This purchase is very worth it even if you had the Wii U version. The return of battle mode arenas is so much fun. And the resolution upgrade and being able to play on the go is a huge plus. It's Mario Kart so it's a master class of Nintendo gameplay.

Mario Kart 8 for the Nintendo Switch is a combination of everything the previous games have accomplished. It is an awesome party game with astonishing graphics and an all-around fun vibe for the family. This is a must buy for any switch owner.

Really nice game! My wife and my son are crazy with this game, is a lot of fun. I am glad that I bought it a little expensive but, well, when I see them playing and really excited is priceless

This game is perfect for a get together or party and has decent single player content.

My family and I have had a ton of fun racing each other. There is a load of different tracks to play on so it takes a while to play one twice, if you wish. Good, wholesome family entertainment.

I’m glad this Mario Kart included all the downloadable content from Wii U and has the most tracks in a Mario Kart game yet. This is a fun game to play with family and friends. I highly recommend it if you have a Switch.
