Feels like an improved version of Mario Kart 64, and my favorite since that version. It is the go to game for my wife and I when we're looking to kill some time. The ability to race online is also a big plus.

It's a great game, but it's also basically the same as the version we already bought for the Wii U. We even paid for the "extra levels" on this version as DLC for the original. So great game, but we've essentially paid $140 for it now.

I haven't played any Nintendo games for years. So glad we picked this one up. So fun. Has maps from Mario Cart games I've played before and a bunch of one's I've never seen. Just a really fun game to play.

Mario Kart 8 is basically Mario Kart Wii with prettier graphics and more tracks. Other than that, it did not evolve much. I really enjoyed the Wii game but this one was more of the same old or same old. I also am amazed that they still do not have a system whereby friends can play and communicate with each other like in Playstation 4 and 5. Part of the fun in multiplayer is in the communication. As it is, this game was underwhelming. Don't get me wrong. It is fun. For a while. Playstation has multiplayer done better and I find myself not playing this game much as there are so much more multiplayer games on Playstation (also require paid membership). Nintendo's basic paid membership is about twenty bucks for a year but it is barebones. They really need to up their game and improve their multiplayer aspect such as communication. I only recommend this to those who did not have the opportunity to play the Wii version that came before years ago.

Was great on wii u, but new stuff made it great. The steering help gets people who normally won'T play cause they can'T stay on the road the ability to play. Great for the whole family, not just experienced players.

Having played the game quite a bit on Wii U, I got exactly what I was expecting. A solid game with a few extra options available. Battle mode is fun especially when connected locally to other friends with Switches.

Best switch party game ever had to get a digital copy when I gave away my physical should have gotten it sooner no more having to get up and switch the cartridge

Probably my favorite game ever on Nintendo (going back to the WII version I had). Can't go wrong with this classic.

it will be more fun when my kids are of an age to play it with us but unless you have a bunch of people the game gets kinda stale after a while. still great Mario kart action but better with friends

By far the best Mario Kart game in the series. So many characters, cars and tracks to choose from! Tons of gameplay modes. The online feature is spectacular!!
