I didn't think I was going to get this one - I already have the Wii U version. But my son really really wanted it and he was right; this is the definitive Mario Kart that should be a part of everyone's Switch collection.

Great game at a good price, lots of new tracks and characters

It's simply the best Mario Kart made thus far. If you like any of the previous entries, you will love Mario Kart 8! Add Switch portability, and you've got yourself a great time anywhere you want to play!

Played Mario Kart on the wii and this game is a continuation of the wii version, but with MUCH better graphics. We also start with more tracks to play and more options to customize the vehicle you race with.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch is the kind of game that brings people together from kids to adults. Parents can play this game with their kids, kids can play with their friends, and adults can play it with their family. Tip- You might already know this but when you're racing and you drift at a corner long enough your exhaust sparks and ignites a speed boost. I wish someone told me that a long time ago. Also, if you play with two or more players it only recognizes one joy con per person. Please correct me if they changed it. CONCLUSION- Racing against friends is fun and the best mode is battle where you have to pop the other players balloons to win hitting them with red, green, blue shells and more.

This is an update of the very excellent mario kart 8 from the Wii U. If you loved it on the wii u then you'll love it on the switch. Excellent graphics, tons of tracks, updated battle mode, and lots of fun for everyone.

I owned Mario cart 8 on Wii U and all the dlc. I love the new battle modes and the splatoon map and characters. I like being able to take this anywhere and challenge others. There's no other racing game as fun as this.

This game almost caused a divorce between my husband and I. See, I bought this game for him for Christmas as a way for us to spend time together. Little did I know the man I married has a secret past of obsessively playing this game with his cousins in his youth. This man has kept this a secret from me and I feel utterly betrayed. Not only because he never told me, but also because he failed to indicate his superior skills when we began playing, and then proceeded to crush me at the game. Rude. But also I have never laughed so hard in my life, so I guess it's worth it.

Many have said this is easily the best Mario Kart ever. I won't argue with that and I can't think of any major flaws in the game but I'm undecided if it is my personal favorite. This is an expanded version of the Wii U title but a) not that many people bought the Wii U and b) this version is clearly better. It has battle mode (absent in the Wii U version) and is better balanced then the previous iteration. What really amazes me, and this is a small thing but the two player mode split screen is vertical yet you never feel that you can't see enough of the track ahead of you. I guess the only gripe I might have is that it's hard to play using a single joy con but you can buy more controllers to solve that. I highly recommend this game.

A great mix of new and classic Mario Kart! Some old school tracks redone for the Switch mixed with brand new tracks and characters. Gameplay is fun for any age. Definitely worth getting for the Switch!

This is the best Mario Kart game so far, as it collects all the DLC from Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, and it adds the feature of carrying 2 items during a race rather than just one at a time. The game features tons of levels from previous Mario Kart games. The game can be played with a single joycon, double joycons, or the pro controller, and all of them can choose if they'd like to use motion controls. If desired, there are options to have the game help a racer stay on the track, and there is an option to have the kart automatically drive forward so the button does not have to be held down the whole race. Overall, these options help young or inexperienced players to get used to the game.

Great game. I hooked the Switch to my tv and game looks and plays great on it. Easy game to play for all age groups.

Similar to Mario Kart 8 for Wii U. Comes with new characters, new tracks, and the ability to hold two items at a time. It’s a good time playing solo or with others.

This game is a must have for the Nintendo Switch. Easy to play for any skill level, and provides hours of fun with the family.

We (figuratively) wore out the original Mariokart 8 on Wii U, and now that new characters, modes, and vehicles have been added in a portable package, this is a no brainer. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up!

I play this game all the time with my family, they love it more then I do lol.
