We recently purchased a Switch for my daughter and this game is a must purchase for one of the first games to get. Multiple player options and fun play makes the game a must.

Fun game and easy to pick up for the family or can be competitve with seasoned and experienced Mario fans. A must have for the Switch.

Mario kart is awesome in an device. The tracks are harder and maybe its me but we can't not get a trophy in the 200cc. Its still fun though.

My grand daughter got me hooked on this game . In the beginning she would mop up the floor with me . I now own her and her brothers and sister . I purchased this game for my niece 9 ( another victim ) .

Love this game!! I really wanted the new Mario Kart for the switch 2 but currently do not have that switch so this will do!

I love being competitive with my friends when they're over for drinks and having fun. We come from the super nintendo era and it's nice to see they still kept the star road.

The single player gameplay is solid, as expected from the Mario Kart series. Never played Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, but the 200cc engine races are awesome. New items add dynamic, including the ability to hold two items at a time as well as being able to defend against a blue shell. HD graphics and high frame rate are excellent. Multiplayer gameplay is fun and easy to pick up and play for all ages and experience levels. Two-player split-screen action on the Switch in portable mode is actually enjoyable. Online gameplay is good. Just wish the wait times between races were shorter, but they're not too long. All in all, I'd recommend this game for anyone.

Fun game, love that you can even play with friends by each using one part of the joycons. That's a nice little addition.

Since I was a kid I have always been a fan of kart racers, with of course the first one being Super Mario Kart. This game has taken everything good about Mario Kart and put it all in one game. Plus with the addition of new maps and a whole bunch of classic ones, the game doesn’t feel stale, even after years of release.

My grandchildren enjoy playing this video so much. My youngest grandson has one in his house and one at my house. I bought the video game for my granddaughters who lives in Concord.

I also had Mario Kart 8 on Wii U but when I heard it was coming to the Switch complete with DLC I knew I had to swipe it. What can I say? It looks fantastic, controls are tight, overall a very fun game to play locally or online. Unfortunately, Nintendo falls short where it comes to online social services. You can't chat with your friends over voice and forming groups larger than 2 people is challenging unless you want to play in a private match, which is not always as fun. I don't know why Nintendo is so behind the times when it comes to their processes. Regardless, the game is really fun and worth purchasing even if you already owned it on the Wii U.

One of the best Mario Kart games available. Great controls, fun tracks and a must play for families.

This is a great game if you want to ruin friendships, or even settle some debates on who's the better Mario Kart player! if you already on the Wii U version of Mario Kart 8 with the deluxe all you get are the unlock stages that you had to purchase on the Wii U version. The graphics are better the game play it's the same. I have no complaints personally I recommend this game for anybody who wants to have game night with a few friends or someone who likes competitive racing without the serious nature of Forza or any other realistic racing game. I also recommend for anybody who a love of Nintendo characters!

My boyfriend got this for us to play together and it’s super fun and brings me back to my childhood days playing on all the other consoles growing up!

This updated port of the Wii U classic is definitely worth a double dip. Characters can now carry up to two items at once including the return of the Double Item Box we loved from Mario Kart Double Dash!! Tougher classes and levels are available such as 200cc and Ultra-Mini Turbo. The only character that isn't unlocked is Gold Mario, a variant of Metal Mario. You will need to unlock him by winning all twelve gold cups in 200cc -- good luck! Overall this game is still addicting and fun. Beware as your friends and family will turn quicker on each other than in a game of Monopoly. No one is safe from the dreaded blue shell!

Fun and filled with many courses that it doesn't become repetitive to soon. As far as characters they have more than enough of the Nintendo Crew that you'll enjoy all the wacky movements and funny vehicles that you'll always have a custom car no mater what mix you chose. I play with a 12 6 and 4 year old on split screen and we have a great time. To add fun the racing wheel adds a lot more "realism" to the kids to enjoy the feel of "driving" . Haven't gotten the actual race wheel but will soon.
