As a owner of Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU I was hesitant about purchasing again, but after playing it on the Switch I'm comfortable saying it's completely worth it. New content is limited to some customizations, characters and the biggest change, new and expanded battle mode. Battle mode was sorely lacking in the WiiU version and welcome to have. And, in case you're wondering, you don't have to unlock any levels or characters again. This version not only looks great, but also plays fantastic and the online works perfectly. Definitely worth your time and money.

Bought this to play with my grandkids. Easy enough even an oldster like me can play it. Graphics are incredible.

We have really enjoyed this and it says something that they have made 8 iterations. They kids have played a lot more than I have it it was fun to see them recognize tracks from other versions they have played and all the friendly competition. It is a great looking game with lots of things to see, unlock, and discover. Great family time (Ages 8-45) It was also nice to be able to split the controllers and have four people playing. I do recommending getting the wheels. We bought the Insignia ones as the nintendo brand wasn't available yet and they have been great too.

This is a fantastic entry in the Mario Kart series! I go back and forth on whether or not it's the best Mario Kart game ever, but if it's not the best, it's right up there! And certainly for content it's probably the best, especially if you get the DLC. This is a strong recommend!

This game is super fun with friends and very addictive online! It is a port of the Wii U Mario Kart 8 games with all the added DLC and extra characters. What sold me on the game is you can now hold 2 items instead of just one item in the Wii U version. Nintendo also revamped the Battle Mode. It's as fun as it was on the Nintendo 64 version! With all the new items, characters, Kart options, and revamped Battle Mode, I'd say this is the definitive Mario Kart experience. I had the Wii U version as well and I am loving this game all over again on the Nintendo Switch!!

My three boys absolutely love this game. Even my 4 year old can play the game and navigate through the options. Great buy, I would buy it again.

My two children love this game. They love to race with each other. The graphic of this game is very nice and the Mario characters were cute.

So, one of my favorite things about this is the ease of multiplayer. Many of my friends also have Switches, and just the local multiplayer alone made this worth buying for me! I own this for the Wii U as well, but have already spent more time on my Switch copy. I also like that it came with all of the DLC plus a classic style battle mode. It was a blast from the past, and much appreciated. If you've already played the original Mario Kart 8 enough to get burned out, this probably isn't for you though. It's the same game with extra stuff. Much better with friends.

With the most characters and the most stages of any Mario Kart. Plus a battle mode and online multiplayer. One if the best Games on the Switch.

Mario Kart has been one of the best sub-series from the Super Mario game series and it’s newest entry is no exception, if not better. You’ll be racing through gravity defying tracks, soar through the air, or even driving under water! The newest entry in the series offers online play, and even an expansion DLC add-on that adds more tracks from past Mario Kart series.

This is a port of the Wiiu game. If you liked that one, you’ll like this one. If you missed that one, you should definitely try this one.

Purchased for my daughter and she loves it! Dont need to be an expert to get started. She was winning races straight out of the box!

One of the best multiplayer switch game. The assist mode makes the game easy enough for my 5 yr old twin girls to play and they love it

Comes with all characters and download content from the Wii U version with upgraded graphics. Absolutely a fun game to play on the go or on your HDTV.

9/10. Apart from new race tracks, power-ups, and new characters, it is essentially the same as Wii’s Mario Kart. It took me a while to get used to the controls as I am used to handling the Wii remote, but the new features are enjoyable. If anyone is considering purchasing a Switch console because of this game, you’re better off playing Mario Kart on the Wii.

My daughter had told me that she wanted to play a game with me and so i thought about something we could play together. Well no better than Mario Kart and it was a huge success, she loves it and we get to spend quality time playing the game.

Even though it is an extended version of a game that already exists,this game provides more tracks and more characters and more! Definitely worth it!
