This game has always been a blast, I have played most of the versions in all the platforms, this is a really good upgrade, If you have been a fan get it, If you don't know this game, get it. If you like to play solo or with your family, get it. this is a super fun game to play. I have yet to try to play online, as I dont have a nintendo online account (they ask to pay for that, but I already have the PS4 for that purpose). In any case, recommended.

I never got this for the Wii U, but this is fun. It even has tracks from previous Mario Kart games. 200cc is frustratingly insane!

Got this on sale at my local BB during Memorial Day weekend. A lot of fun. The unlockables can be somewhat challenging.

I have already put over 100 hours into Mario Kart 8. I've played each course countless times, races as every character, unlocked it all. And yet I still bought Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and feel like it was the right call, as it takes a game that is already excellent and shores up every single weakness (Battle mode, kart switching online) while adding a few things just for fun (purple sparks, new characters and vehicles). It's the definitive edition of what was previously the best Mario Kart ever. It's worth buying and playing all over again.

I have 3 girls age range from 5-15 whom never played video games and this was easy for them to learn and fun for them to enjoy together.

This is a must have for your switch. Classic game with new tracks and all the characters you could ask for.

I bought the game despite owning mario kart 8 on the WiiU. I wasn't entirely sure I'd get my money's worth, but, I wanted some good switch launch titles. I wasn't ready for how much value I'd get out this game. I have friends over almost weekly for 4-player matches. I've been unlocking stuff for months and still feel like I haven't scratched the surface. Additionally, it makes for a great way to unwind after a very long day of production work on a very large projector screen. This game is nothing short of fun

This game is loads of fun. Features different characters from the Super Mario universe and great to play with friends and family.

I had this for Wii U but the Switch version blows the old one away ... graphics, interface, characters. The perfect game to play on the go.

I bought Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U when it originally came out (actually bought a Wii U for it!) and loved it. I was disappointed by the lack of a decent battle mode, but the Deluxe version for the Switch changed all that! The battle modes are tons of fun and it's awesome that they included all of the original DLC in this game from the start. Online experience is a little rough (lots of disconnects) but the game itself is great. Must have for all Switch owners! It's great to be able to pop off your joy-cons and play 2 player on the go!

If you own a switch, or you know of someone who does, buy this game. Full stop. Nothing else to consider. First party games from Nintendo are always a safe bet. They're going to be well designed from the ground up and will deliver a fantastic playing experience, generally for the whole family. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Switch does not fail to impress. You'll have fun with the casualness of it all, but feel free to get into the details and really master the play. Both options work. You'll love this. Just buy it.
