Love the fact that now I can also play with my children with all the old games that I’m used too and they love I wish I would’ve bought it earlier

Really enjoy this game. Brings me back to the old SNES and N64 days of mario kart. A lot of fun playing with a group of friends. Absolutely buy this game.

MarioKart has been a great way to hang out with our adult kids scattered around the country. A Zoom call on the side allows for sharing stories and heckling. Naturally, this requires a Nintendo online account. There is just enough random chaos to make it entertaining for folks who might not be video game pros, and it doesn't demand twitch reflexes in order to play and have a good time. That said, our 30-something gamer son trounces us most of the time...but not always!

Very enjoyable game, especially if you're able to play with friends. Pros: - Fun gameplay, great cast of characters. - Runs very well docked and handheld. - Beautiful variety of courses. - With the addition of 200cc, additional challenge available to advanced players. Cons: - While it is still fun if you don't have anyone to play with, the game truly shines when you have people to hop in with. - Personally I enjoyed the older Mario Kart mechanic of unlocking more characters over time more than the mechanic of unlocking different cart parts in this one.

I can tell you how great the graphics are, or how fun the gameplay is, or how neat it is to have Mario Kart on the train going to work. But I am going to tell you how it's converted my "video games are for kids" boyfriend into a "just one more race" kind of guy. We play Mario Kart a lot. Recently the power went out and we used the Nintendo Switch in tabletop mode. It was awesome and he finally got it as to why I love video games. He now asks to play all the time, and he's getting really good. My partner is 55 and I am 41, so this game is truly good for adults.

This is a fun game, even for "mature" folks. The graphics are fun and it is easy to play without knowing all the tricks.

If you owned Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U, be advised that this game is largely the exact same. That said, if you did not play MK8, then you are in for a treat. The characters are expansive and diverse, tracks and innovative, and the battle mode adds spectacular local head to head not properly seen since the N64 days. 200 CC is a new addition which adds an insane level of challenge.

Mario Kart 8 is by far the best game in the series. There's so many tracks and characters to play as.

This is a great addition to the Mario Kart franchise. They brought back King Boo as a playable character (my character) and a huge variety of old and new tracks.

It makes some wonderful gameplay improvements and adds a fully featured battle mode. Also, portable Mario Kart at this level of quality is downright surreal.

This game is AMAZING! I've played every entry since SMK and have loved each one since, as they all brought new ideas to the table. Mario Kart 8 takes the reigns as one my favorite titles next to Super Mario (Whatever) in the series though, no question! This has got to be THE best racing game Nintendo has ever created. It's so much more tasty and rich than the ones before it.
