You can’t go wrong with Mario games especially for the switch

Mario Kart 8 was terrific on the Wii U, and this deluxe version is even better. With this version all of the DLC is included, giving you a total of 48 courses and 40+ characters to play as. But the best addition is the extensive battle mode featuring 8 arenas and 5 game types, replacing the disappointing battle mode from the original MK8 that was played on a few grand prix tracks. Having all the characters and courses available from the start is great if you've played the game before or if you're eager to jump into multiplayer, but because of that there's not much to unlock aside from kart parts. Also internet play now requires a paid subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, and you may not have as many controllers to use for multiplayer (most people had a few extra Wii remotes to play the original MK8 since they were inexpensive compared to joy-cons).

It’s great to play with family and a lot of fun for the kids. When playing on your own it feels like it’s tough enough on your own yet not crippling to the point of not being able to win a race nor is it so easy you’re always winning.

This was an excellent title for Nintendo to port over to the Switch. it has everything I enjoyed about the Wii U version, plus the added portability of the switch and a new battle mode! The portability of the Switch makes impromptu games with friends possible, and very fun!

We pre-ordered the switch and were so excited when it came out. We bought Zelda and were deep into it when Mario Cart was released which meant it set on the shelf for a while but once we got to it we enjoyed it as well. Great for any smaller guests we may have visiting us.

Great game and really fun. It’s almost impossible for you to get bored playing it. If so it would take hours because of all of the different races that you can go through and different characters/karts that you can choose.

This is the definite edition of Mario Kart 8. There are so many vehicles and things to unlock in the game, giving it a great replay value. Perfect for those wanting to race online, or with friends, this is a great game for anyone with a Nintendo Switch.

This is Mario Kart, specifically, it's a Switch port of the Wii U Mario Kart with some extra added features. That said, it doesn't mean the game is bad, it comes with all of the DLC that the Wii U version had including 200cc mode which is just insane!

Hilarious fun game that takes me back to my youth when playing mario kart on n46. It can get repeptitve for sure with racing the same tracks over and over, or with what tends to happen past the half way point in a race. I am nit picking though, highly enjoyable game.

I haven't played too much of it yet, but I do enjoy it a lot. I'm going to have to buy more controllers so I can play with friends rather than buy the online membership, but I'm still enjoying it.

Great game for the family. With a abundance of tracks snd games this will keep your wanting more.

Simply put, a must have. A blast solo or with friends. Numerous characters and upgrades (cars, wheels, sails) keep it interesting. Always good for spirited trash talking. Would recommend for all ages!

Mario Kart is a great game, can't go wrong with it. I got it on discount, under 40 dollars during the black friday sale, and Nintendo games never go on sale for a significant amount.

I loved this game on the wii u, and the switch upgrade looks better, has more features, but most importantly the portability is wonderful (and makes me feel like I'd likely be suckered into picking up other straight ports of games I own for the sake of the portability alone).

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is easily the most feature packed game in the series, now with all the DLC tracks (48 tracks in the game altogether!!), a new Battle Mode (finally), and three new characters. Here's hoping they bring back the kart sharing feature from Double Dash someday.

Love how easy and fun the game is! Beginner friendly but if you are looking for competition, online is NO JOKE! Also a great party / friend game.

This is the game to get for them. I bought a Nintendo switch for the living room because before they would bug me everyday to play Xbox one and I've finally had enough of plugging and unplugging cables.. so I bought the Nintendo switch with Mario Kart 8 and end of story.
